I am an experienced Communications consultant that spend one year at the City College of New York, City University of New York, where I worked as the Office Manager, Special Assistant, to the Vice President of Communications/ Public Relations. I assisted the Vice President, in researching all of the information for every speech in which the President did internally and externally, in which the Vice President would include in all of the Presidents speeches, as she was his chief speech writer. I was also responsible for assisting the Director, of Public Relations in the assistance of all press releases, including calling all of the Editors of the New York, ie the newspapers, radio and television stations. I also took all clippings about City College, and kept everything updated in a Microsoft system, which was the published into the Year about City College. Furthermore, whenever we had large media events, I managed all the media credential for photographers, reporters, photo journalist, bloggers, and freelance media.

In addition to the Public Relations positions I spent two years at 92.3 WGHR The Voice of Harlem, the community based radio Station of City College, as the Executive Producer, and Supervisor of five students that were Communications majors. I produced all of the City College Mens' Basketball Team, where I worked closely with the schools Sports Information Director(Public Relations Officer), as well as, all of the opposing SID Director, the CUNY Director of Communications, the CCNY Athletic Director, Head Coach , and his staff. As well as, working with the General Manager of the Station, whom I worked with scheduling, the student supervision, and planning for the broadcasts of the games. We had, a pregame, halftime, and post game show, as well as, coaches halftime, and post game interviews

Furthermore, in my career at City College, at the Office of Institutional Development, Special Events Department, I have assisted the department with Public Relations for all major events with the media, and the staff of professional media, and communications staff. I have worked major events, featuring Dan Rather, Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Tom Brokow, Senators Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, Supreme Court Sonia Sotomayor, New York Congressman Charles Rangel, where I served as his liasion, Eli Wiesel, Professor Anita Hill, General Colin Powell.

Earlier in my career, I spent two summers as an Intern for the New York City Consular Office, which worked directly between the Mayor's Office, and the Consulates of the United Nations, in the Sister City Program. I worked Directly, with the Director of the Program, in the Baseball Friendship Series, between the New York City All Stars, and the Tokyo City All Stars, that were co-sponsored between the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and the Japan Consulate. The series was unwritten by the New York Mets, and Yankees, who allowed us to use Shea, and Yankees Stadium. I worked directly under the Director, as a Press Office sending out press releases, and speaking with all of the Editors, and News Directors, of New York newspapers, radio and television stations, as well as, local community newspapers. I also served as the Public Address Announcers for all of the games, as well as, the play by play announcer for all five games, along with a Japanese translator. I also, worked closely, with the Coach of the New York All Stars, Tony Ferreira, who coached with both the Mets, and Yankees, and Saint Johns University.
Furthermore, I worked with members of the Mets, and Yankees staff on game day in assisting in various ways.

Communications Professional Experience

I am an experienced communications professional that worked in the City College of New York, City University of New York, where I worked in the Office of Communications, as the Office Manager/Special Assistant to the Vice President Communications/Public Relations, where I assisted the Vice President, and Director, Public Relations, in researching information for the President of the College, as well as, researching material for all of the President’s external, and internal speeches in regard to the College, for Alumni, Donors, Media, or Political leaders, or for the Senior College administrators, officers and Deans.

Along with the preparation for speeches, I was also responsible for sending out all press releases to all various New York area media outlets, for specific large events, such as, when Senator Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry, both have major donor events at the college. It was at the major events, in which I was also responsible for issuing all press credentials to all accredited members of the media.

I was also, responsible for maintaining newspaper clippings for all related stories about City College. Furthermore, I was responsible for keeping an electronic yearlong diary, about all related stories about City College, as well as, supplying the City College Alumni Association, with the listings of obituaries,

While I was working for, and after the Office of Communications, I spent two seasons working for the Community radio station of City College 92.7, The Voice of Harlem, as the Executive Producer of the City College’s Men’s Basketball Team, where I supervised five Communications majors at City College, as well as, working with all of the professional sound engineers of City College. I also, worked very closely with the General Manager of the Radio Station, The Athletic Director at City College, as well as, The Head Basketball, his coaching staff, the Gym Director, the Sports Information Director, and the City University Director of Sports Communications, along with all of the other City University, and CCNY opponent schools Sports Information Directors. I gather up statistical information, which was then formatted into the broadcasts. I also created a pre/post game, and halftime show format for entertainment purposes of the broadcasts, which also aired on the internet.
