I chose Earth🌎 to Space🪐 as Odyssey’s theme, as the collective scientific🧪 journey that has taken humans from caves to the Moon🌚 has indeed been an odyssey, though one that deserves to be celebrated🎉. Also, human space flight has been in the news lately.

With centibillionaires and multimillionaires launching themselves into outer space in private spacecraft recently, the race is on to capitalize on the extraterrestrial commons and colonize outer space in the name of corporations and the elite shareholders thereof.

I long for a day when humanity’s decision makers (read: billionaires) realize they have more to gain from ending hunger, homelessness, unemployment, and suffering by preventable illness, all things they are capable of doing today, rather than leveraging their wealth in the gluttonous and vain pursuit of more, more, and more billions.
