I saw a tweet from FCT Police spokesperson
and I doubt she has ever worked with the police Tactical Squad. Some of these officers committing these crimes were previously under ABBA KYARI when he headed SARS Scorpion Base Ikeja. Those who resided in Lagos from 2011 to 2015 can testify to this.

During my stay with them in CELL 1, my cellmate was showing us one officer who was wearing his cold chain and sneakers. They went to his house to arrest him packed his properties and then converted them for their personal use. The torture at the side of their office was named ‘Theater’.

Abba Kyari was transferred to Abuja and was appointed to head IGP-IRT and all the officers from SARS Lagos were transferred from Lagos State to Abuja to work with ABBA KYARI and they all became ABBA KYARI Boys.

If you recall, back then police in normal uniforms were collecting bribes from motorists from N50 to N100. At the station bail was N5000 N10,000 and then if you visit your family member you are asked to pay some fees and toiletries.

Things got worse when these officers who previously worked in SARS were transferred to various police Divisions and they spread around the entire country.

Today, you are arrested without a reason, no statement, nothing incriminating found on you and you are forced to either transfer or use POS. The Police Authority are aware of all these.

The FCT command spokesperson and other officers should be informed that victims decide to pay for their freedom because of the torture, and threats they receive from these officers. They pay and come out to seek Justice. Just like a Kidnapped victim.

We can’t continue seeking REFUNDS and these same officers go back to seek new Victims to devour and replace the already refunded money.

It is YOUR LIFE OR YOUR MONEY. Police Image Maker should desist from blaming victims as they play along and then report later IF they escaped (IF).

It's frustrating to know that we extract crude oil and sell it to countries that lack their own reserves, only to buy the refined oil back from them. On top of that, we use the revenue from selling crude oil to subsidize the petroleum products we import. Meanwhile, Iran's refineries have been up and running despite being under western economic sanctions for 45 years, yet our refineries are not. It's time to prioritize our own country's energy needs and invest in developing our own refining capabilities.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has claimed that over 80% of Nigeria's crude oil is stolen. Obasanjo made this statement at the launch of Dr. Umar Ardo's book titled "Court and Politics" in Abuja. He explained that part of the reason for Nigeria's struggling economy is that unlike other oil-producing countries, Nigeria cannot account for its oil production due to theft. Babangida Aliyu, a former governor of Niger State, represented Obasanjo at the event.

Obasanjo stated that Nigeria's daily crude oil quota is approximately 2 million barrels. However, over 1.7 million barrels are stolen daily. Although the figures may seem exaggerated, there is undoubtedly a significant amount of crude oil theft in the country.

In November 2020, the Federal Government revealed that pipeline vandalism resulted in more than N4.3 trillion worth of crude oil being stolen in 7,143 cases over five years. The Nigeria International Pipeline Technology and Security Conference, organised by the Pipeline Professionals Association of Nigeria, covered this information.

The Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) revealed at the conference that oil theft and losses in Nigeria were a national emergency. NEITI's Executive Secretary, Ogbonnaya Orji, claimed that oil theft posed a severe threat to the oil industry, with negative consequences for economic growth, business prospects, and oil companies' profit earnings.

Orji presented data from NEITI's reports, indicating that between 2017 and 2021, Nigeria recorded 7,143 cases of pipeline breakages and deliberate vandalism resulting in crude theft and product losses of 208.639 million barrels valued at $12.74 million or N4.325 trillion. NEITI's reports also showed that Nigeria spent NN471.493 billion to repair or maintain pipelines during the same period.

Orji said that despite the oil and gas sector's strategic contributions, Nigeria had yet to derive optimal benefits from its resources due to oil theft, pipeline vandalism, pipeline integrity compromise, outright sabotage, and general insecurity in the region.

NEITI's reports over the years and recently insights from its membership of the Special Investigative Panel on Oil Theft and Losses revealed that oil theft was perpetrated through pipeline clamping, illegal connections on major pipelines, exploitation of abandoned oil wellheads, pipeline breakages, and vandalism of key national assets to siphon crude into waiting vessels stationed in strategic terminals.

Orji stated that this criminal activity took place in an atmosphere of communities' complicity and conspiracy of silence. He added that many members of the pipelines association were directly or indirectly involved in providing the skills and knowledge required to perpetrate oil theft.

The widespread theft of oil is proving to be a costly issue that needs to be addressed urgently. It's time to take effective measures to prevent this unlawful activity and minimize its economic impact.

It's interesting to wonder what the future holds regarding the situation we are currently faced with. As we may recall, there was an unfortunate helicopter crash on February 9th, 2024, which claimed the lives of Habert Wigwe, his wife, and son. Before the incident, the entire Wigwe family was an integral part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David parish, with Habert Wigwe being a major financial pillar of the church.

We heard that he gave the church a whopping 1 billion naira interest-free loan just two weeks prior to the incident. When the church was in need of 600 million naira to build the church, Wigwe personally invited his friends to attend and donate towards the project on the day of the launching. He also donated 300 million naira towards a great talent project organized by the church.

It was also said that when the church was building a school, Wigwe built all the classrooms with his money. When the church couldn't pay the teachers' salaries, he stepped in to fund the school.

However, after the helicopter crash, the church pastor celebrated a lavish birthday party for his wife, and they even invited Flavor Nabiania to perform at the party. Upon hearing of the party, the Wigwe family requested that the church stay clear of the burial activities of their children.

In response to this, Daddy GO (General Overseer) wrote to the pastor and his wife, asking them to resign as pastors of the church and hand it over to Adeboye Son. However, the pastor replied that they would not resign, and if Daddy GO made them angry, they would simply change the name of the church and claim it as their own.

It remains to be seen what will happen next in this situation, but we can only hope for a peaceful resolution that benefits all parties involved.

It is disheartening to recall the negative comments made by some individuals against former Nigerian President, Goodluck E. Jonathan, during his time in office. Many public figures made hurtful remarks and accusations that were aimed at tarnishing his reputation and discrediting his administration.

It is unfortunate that some of these individuals acted out of selfish interests and were not mindful of the consequences of their words and actions. I am from Edo State, specifically Edo South Senatorial District. Marginalization is not acceptable to me, and I will never support it. I believe in equity, fairness, and justice, and I fully support Asue Ighodalo's candidacy for governorship. It is not fair for Edo South to continually produce governors for the state of three senatorial districts, marginalizing Edo Central in the process. Although Edo Central has competent people, they have never been given a chance to rule Edo State.

Lucky Igbinedion, an Edo South Governor, was a colossal failure, and Godwin Obaseki, another Edo South Governor, is a disgrace to governance. It is time for Edo Central to have a governor. If Asue Ighodalo needs to be replaced in the next 4 years, I will support another candidate from Edo Central.

Olumide Akpata, who is also from Edo South, should be prepared to wait for the next 8 years to run for governorship. It is not fair to replace Obaseki with another Edo South Governor. Edo South has already had its turn with Lucky Igbinedion and Godwin Obaseki, and Edo North has had their turn with Adams Oshiomhole. Now it is time for Edo Central to be given a chance.

This is Harrison Gwamnishu. He is a man who fights against police extortion in Nigeria and works to ensure that involved policemen are sanctioned. He has helped victims recover extorted money that runs into billions. Unfortunately, due to his noble work, he has faced several attempts on his life. May God bless him for his bravery.

In addition to fighting police brutality, Harrison also fights for those who are wrongly imprisoned in Nigeria for crimes they did not commit. He is the founder of Behind the Bars Initiative (BBI), which advocates for their release.

Harrison has also secured the release of Nigerians who were imprisoned for overstaying in Kenya. He has rescued a 15-year-old girl forced into child marriage in Anambra and another 14-year-old girl in Nnewi.

In 2022, an anonymous person invited him to collaborate on a project, but on his way, an attempt was made on his life. Despite this, he has not been discouraged and continues to fight for the rights of common Nigerians.

Some people believe they were just sitting down minding their business, and Hausa people came to fight them (all Northerners are Hausa to some people) because they hate them. There was absolutely no provocation, or igniting events that preceded the Nigerian Civil War. Hausa people just woke up on the wrong side of the bed and, for some strange reason, decided to pounce on the people of Eastern Nigeria.

But, of course, that is not what happened. However, because we do not write our history, and even worse, we have refused to teach it in our schools, millions of people believe this version of events. In fact, they swear by it.

The truth is that if the January 15, 1966 coup had never happened, it is most unlikely that the Nigerian Civil War would have occurred. The perpetrators of that coup opened a Pandora’s Box that the rest of Nigeria is still suffering from today!

There was wild jubilation all over Nigeria after that coup, because Nigerians believed it was a patriotic and nationalistic coup. Then the names of those killed were announced over the radio, and it was discovered that only people from the North, West and Midwest were killed.

Out of 21 people killed by the January 15, 1966 coup plotters, only Lt. Colonel Arthur Unegbe was an Igbo, and the reason he was killed was because he was the QuarterMaster-General

PRESS RELEASE TRAGEDY: OAU LOSSES STAFF TO LION ATTACK The management, staff, students and the entire campus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, have been thrown into mourning following the untimely death of Mr. Olabode Olawuyi. A release by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olarewaju, stated that Mr Olawuyi, a Veterinary Technologist, who has been in charge of the Zoological garden for over a decade, was attacked this afternoon, Wednesday, 19th February, 2024, by a 9 - year old male lion when he was feeding them in their den at the Zoological garden of the University. The other members of staff who were at the scene of the incident did everything within their power to rescue their boss but the wild cat had already caused severe fatalities. On hearing the sad news, the management team, led by the Vice Chancellor, abruptly ended an on going meeting for an on the spot assessment Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebayo Simeon BAMIRE, was informed, on arrival, by the Acting Director of the University Health and Medical Centre Dr. Tirimisiyu Olatunji, that all first aid and medical efforts to save the life of the victim proved abortive. Saddened by this tragic event, the aggressive Lion has been euthanized. Mr Olawuyi has been taking care of the lions since they were born on campus about 9 years ago but, tragically, the male Lion killed the man who had been feeding them. The University management has sent a delegation to the widow and children of the deceased, imploring them to take solace in God who gives life and also has the power to take life. Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebayo Simeon BAMIRE, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the immediate and remote causes of the incident. May the soul of Mr. Olabode Olawuyi rest in peace.
