We were tasked with creating a brand identity system that not only reflects these qualities, but also creates a fun and safe environment for its consumers.

What’s the difference between Branding and Marketing?

There’s a lot of misconceptions that branding IS marketing. But a good way to distinguish the two is by thinking of branding as your WHY and marketing as your HOW.

Branding is your story. Marketing is how you deliver that story to the right people.

Branding determines the quality of leads. Marketing determines the quantity of leads.

When the economy fluctuates, businesses are able to halt spending on marketing. However, branding remains and permeates throughout the business. Brand success is measured by the loyalty of customers. But the ability to attract those customers is what makes effective marketing.

Çay is a tea production company whose flower tea is collected from special regions of Anatolia, Turkey. Made with real flowers, their tea has refreshingly sweet notes of spring and a pleasing floral aftertaste. They aim to deliver healthier options for caffeine consumers and encourage people to substitute their coffee with fresh Turkish flower tea.

Our role in this packaging design project was to help Çay communicate how their fresh Turkish flower tea is both a great brain power charger and brings many health benefits as well. The coffee cup represents how the majority of caffeine consumers start their day. During our photoshoot, we used real flower tea leaves to construct the shape of the coffee mug, and the shape conveys the idea of substituting coffee and charging your brain with tea.

The Voice is a quarterly publication for graphic designers and other people related to the art & design industry. It includes articles that are concerned with ecological practices in graphic design, and our role in its art direction was to find a solution that helps them build their audience and initiate conversations in the design field.

One article in this issue compared the traditional typewriter and the digital world. After experimenting and combining film development reels and skyscraper city shapes, we blended traditional and modern day elements together through the photogram technique. Every trait tries to emphasize the idea of staying creative in the design world, and it enables discussion topics among the The Voice's readers. Finally, the recap video from our showcase at !

This incredible event brought over 1.5k visitors and a line around the block on both days in SoHo. We’re floored by all the love and support we received, and are so grateful for the new people we met, connections made, and the opportunity to physically display Take 21 for the first time during this impactful weekend.

At Take 21, we strongly value having a community, supporting one another, and guiding both our team and those we work with to grow in success. Let’s continue to strive upwards!
