★“The wordlessness, unconventional art style, and unusual continuous visual storytelling of Imapla’s book make it feel like more of a stunning art piece than a typical children’s book. A clever concept, beautifully designed and executed.” — School Library Journal STARRED review for LOLA LOVES ANIMALS

We are sad to let you know that Nikolai Popov has passed away. We are grateful that we could still see him and share a heartwarming evening with him, his wife Katja and his beloved dog Dorli in his studio last September. It is comforting to know that Nik will live on in his books, most noted WHY?
His message lives on and will hopefully reach many people.

We can't wait to share this new book with you all!

LOUJAIN DREAMS OF SUNFLOWERS, the children's book her story inspired, written by human rights activists Lina AlHathloul (Loujain's sister) and Uma Mishra-Newbery, and illustrated by New York Times bestselling illustrator Rebecca Green. The book will be published on March 1, 2022 by mineditionUS/Astra Books for Young Readers.

Our half-hour media event will showcase the authors, publisher, and illustrator of LOUJAIN DREAMS OF SUNFLOWERS.

LINA ALHATHLOUL will provide an update on the Nobel Peace Prize nominee, where she is now and current activities on her behalf.

UMA MISHRA-NEWBERY will talk about the genesis of the book and why the co-authors have written it as a fictional picture book for children ages 4 - 8.

MARIA RUSSO, Editorial Director for mineditionUS, will discuss acknowledging gender bias and the concept of justice with children at a young age, how picture books are one of the most effective tools for initiating conversations, and how REBECCA GREEN's illustrations bring Loujain's emotional journey to life in a child-friendly way. 🌻
