It was hard to see it go, but I’m glad the Lightweight Folding Workbench is being reimagined for a different purpose. Of course it is still taking longer than expected to finish even though the legs were already built. A VERY nifty addition to the shop.
I designed a new mobile miter saw station to fit my larger, Bosch 12” saw that I just bought. This new design will fit almost all larger miter saws and I’m most excited about the integrated dust collection to be used in conjunction with my dust boot from Travis at Shop Nation. My go-to strategy for securing lockable casters to my shop furniture: wood glue + CA glue + accelerator for attaching the risers to the bottom of this miter saw station. The CA glue and accelerator act as a clamp for the wood glue and secures it within 20 seconds so I can move on with the project. But if that is not enough the screws I use to secure the casters will go through the bottom of the cabinet to make the bond even stronger.

Its nice to finally have proper dust collection for my jobsite table saw. I originally thought that poor dust collection was something I had to accept with this type of saw but that was false. My lungs will thank me!

These foldable wings for my new mobile miter saw station will be a nice space-saving addition. I had these on my previous miter saw station and they did not disappoint. I have never been a fan of the miter saw fence because it can cause clutter and sometimes can get in the way of my work piece so I went with a fenceless design here. The t-track will allow a block to be used for repeatable cuts.

The Double-Sided Mobile Cabinet. I kept the saw marks off of the sides with some cardboard and hid the plywood edges with hardwood edge-banding. A nice little addition to the shop and click the link in my bio for plans.
