Each year, I go through hundreds of songs to come up with an R&B set for roller skaters that is true to good R&B. I mix the new with some classics and include other genres that compliment like afrobeat, amapiano, and, of course, hip-hop and house.

This year I will do 2 "R&B VIBES 2024," but there are always going to be sets that "feel like this" no matter what the theme, because this is a sound that I have gotten comfortable playing-and is the most well received.

It will be up by the time most of you read this but as of this writing I am tweaking it with some new things. Artists, DJs, labels and managers-thanks for sending me your work. My mixes are what they are because of you. will be my co-pilot of course and powers this journey to its 3 or 4 hour conclusion!

The next gig is SKATE CRATES at the Flatbush Loft. Thanks to all the skaters who have supported for the last 2.5 years!!

We return to one of our favorite event spaces, the FLATBUSH LOFT (Balmir Dance Society) for our first roller skating event of 2024.

The original date was THURSDAY, JANUARY 11 (tomorrow),
but we postponed to SATURDAY, JANUARY 27.

This night we introduce a two-part night:
6:30-8pm Celebrate Mary J Blige
8-11:30pm Adult Night Skate

ABOUT THE MARY TRIBUTE!

For the THIRD time in about 8 years, I will spin the best of Mary J Blige, but this time in an exclusive LIVE skate mix.

"All That I Can Say" (written by Lauryn Hill), "Be Happy," "Just Fine," "I Can Love You," "In Da Club" (yep, Mary remixed 50 Cent's song), "Only Love" (her take on the Disco classic "Doctor Love"), MJB Da MVP (one of my faves), "Love Is All We Need," "Not Today (by Dr Dre with Eve)" and many more will all be featured!

Thia tribute will take place from 6:30 to 8pm, and be done by DJ FREEDOM.

WINTER LOFT SKATE

From 8 to 11:30pm, we then shift gears and roll into ADULT SKATE mode! Our 5TH loft session continues, and on this night, we return with special guest DJ Nyjae Jordan, who will take turns. CELEBRATE JAMIROQUAI is a 2 hour journey into some of my favorite songs by one of the most amazing recording artists. He came into prominence in the 90s with "When You Gonna Learn," which I learned about through Giant Step (who promoted so many amazing artists like Donnie, The Jazzyfatnastees, Goapele, Jill Scott and the Sweetback project, which was Sade's band & many more).
He has toured extensively and become popular here in the US thanks to a mild amount of exposure on MTV; his psychedelic videos promoted a flower child vibe, an awareness to the planet (going green before it was cool to say so) and putting on phenomenal shows.

I am excited for you to hear this experience I put together. Let me know what you think....my playlist is also there as well.

NATIONAL DJ DAY 2024. I had this idea years ago when some of my favorite DJs were also DJs I was cool with! So it is an amazing honor to get with some of my favorite DJs.

This event IS HAPPENING. There were some bumps and bruises last year with HOUSE MASSIVE, but I kept the mixes coming and planned events for the next two years with HOUSE MASSIVE in some of the most amazing spaces and venues. Thanks to BUSHWICK TRIANGLE for understanding my vision and giving our DJs and dancers a place to have a great time. This is only the beginning!

House Massive continues to celebrate 15 years of house music our way! These 10 mixes are among our favorites of 2023, with our newest edition RIDE AND VIBES 2024 at the beginning of our "house slides."

Our newest mix is 3.5 hours and features lesser known tracks and parts of songs. All of them have been reworked, re-edited, remixed, re-drummed and rearranged to be a whole new sound!

There are many faces of this iconic R&B singer but you have never heard her like this!! THURSDAY, JANUARY 11, 2024 I will pay homage to one of my favorite R&B singers. She is nearly always in my DJ sets, and I don't know a DJ who doesn't keep a few Mary songs ready for their crowds.

Now imagine a 2 hour SKATE CRATES tribute! I will pay homage to the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul." My set will feature all the favorite sing-along songs, remixed and/or edited with a new flair and style that can only be SKATE CRATES.

For those who didn't know, this will be my 3rd time doing a tribute to Mary but the first time as an event.
