The highly-anticipated Southeast Asian-inspired restaurant will open its second location on April 7
in Dallas' Epic Development.

Dallas is about to see a new player join the higher echelons of its hospitality scene. Miami-based Komodo from Groot Hospitality is branching out from South Florida and will establish its second location in Dallas this week.

The highly-anticipated two-story restaurant will be 5,500 square feet bigger than the original Miami location which finished last year as the top-grossing restaurant in the United States in 2022.

At 22,500-square-foot, the behemoth Southeast Asian-inspired restaurant will be located in the Epic Development, near downtown and Deep Ellum.

According to the website, Komodo Dallas will feature "an ultra-contemporary exterior facade that gives way to an inviting indoor-outdoor flow. The restaurant takes visual cues from its homebase, including Komodo's signature illuminated "bamboo" cutout columns and duck display windows."

It will seat up to 274 diners across tabletop, booth, and bar seating all spread out over two floors while the menu will offer a similar array of Southeast Asian-inspired dishes on offer in Miami "all of which have been developed and interpreted with a global approach."

Komodo Dallas will open at 2550 Pacific Avenue this Friday, April 7, and will be open 6 days a week with the exception of Mondays.

Justin Timberlake Stars in His First Louis Vuitton Campaign

After delivering a slew of sartorial images taken by Steven Meisel in December, Louis Vuitton (PARIS:MC.PA -0.75%) has tapped the renowned photographer for another carousel of portraits to show off the next installment in its collaboration with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.

This go-around, Justin Timberlake makes his campaign debut for the French fashion house, carrying two monogram-embossed leather accessories showcasing Kusama's signature pumpkin artwork. Alongside Timberlake (who the brand confirms is not an official ambassador but a "friend of the house"), the campaign features a star-studded cast, including actresses Hoyeong Jung, Léa Seydoux and Zhou Dongyu.
Under the creative jurisdiction of Ferdinando Verderi, makeup artist Pat McGrath decorated the faces and bodies of the aforementioned stars with kaleidoscopic designs that match the artworks emblazoned on their corresponding Capucines and Monogram handbags.
A vivid pumpkin patch appears on Timberlake's arm, while floral designs sprawl across Blanchett's jaw. Abstract faces encompass Seydoux's eye and arm, and signature dots convene on Jung's collarbone. Notably, Carine Roitfeld handled the shoot's styling.
Louis Vuitton's latest Yayoi Kusama campaign will appear on billboards this Wednesday, March 22. The second drop from the "Creating Infinity" collection will then become available in Louis Vuitton stores worldwide on March 31.

Bob Lee, the chief product officer at MobileCoin, was killed in a fatal stabbing in San Francisco.

On Tuesday morning, at 2:35 a.m., the San Francisco Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing near the 300 block of Main Street in SoMa. He was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Shortly after, NBC Bay Area reported that the victim of the stabbing was Bob Lee, 43. MobileCoin confirmed the information in a statement sent to Bloomberg and ABC7 News.

Before joining MobileCoin, Bob Lee worked at Google for the first few years of Android, focusing on core library development. He then joined Square, the payment company that later became Block, to develop its Android app. He became the company's first CTO and also created Cash App.

Bob Lee, also known as 'Crazy Bob,' was an investor in tech startups as well. According to his Linkedln profile, he invested in Space, Clubhouse, Tile, Figma, Faire, Orchid, Addressable, Nana, Ticket Fairy, Gowalla, Asha, SiPhox, Netswitch, Found and others.
