November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to reflect on how we share the stories of Indigenous peoples. Our speaker, Jennifer Raff, is a leading voice in this area of anthropology. The New York Times recently called her book, ORIGIN, *THE* must-read for anyone interested in the genetic history and migration patterns of Indigenous Americans.

The Times also highlights Raff’s unique approach, noting that she celebrates science while critically addressing the harm it has caused Indigenous communities. “ might sound good on Twitter, but it means little unless acted upon,” they write. “Raff offers a roadmap for making this change and argues convincingly why it’s essential for the future of science.”

As The New York Times puts it, Jennifer Raff is truly “at the forefront of a cultural shift in science.” Contact us to book her for your next event!
