🎉 Exciting News for New Paltz!

After many years of hard work, collaboration, and community advocacy, we’re proud to announce that Spectrum, the Town of New Paltz, and the Village of New Paltz have officially approved a new franchise agreement, bringing a major win for local media and community storytelling!

📺 New Paltz Public Access (NPZTV), Channel 23, will soon be revitalized and broadcast in high definition for the very first time. This is a huge step forward in sharing the voices, stories, and creativity of our amazing community.

In addition, the agreement includes $15,000 in donations from Spectrum to support three local nonprofits serving the New Paltz area, to be determined in the coming months. ❤️

We couldn’t have done this without the incredible support of our neighbors, volunteers, and local boards who helped guide this process. Thank you for believing in the power of community media!

New Paltz Youth Program Haunted House - Nightmares in Oz

NIGHTMARES IN OZ!



A little bit about the NPYP Haunted House....



For the past 31 years, the NPYP has transformed the Youth Center every Halloween into a spooky and thrilling Haunted House for everyone in the community to enjoy. Past themes included Carn-Evil, Barbie's Screamhouse, & The Town of Terror. This year, they're traveling back in time to the Land of Oz, except it may not be as whimsical as you remember it...

On October 30th, the Haunted House will run from 6:00-8:00 PM. On Halloween night, they serve scares from 6:00-10:00 PM. All proceeds benefit the NPYP.

The best part of their Haunted House is seeing their youth's creative ideas come to light.

If your youth is interested in helping turn the Youth Center into the twisted, spooky Land of Oz, they can jump in to help transform the youth center at any time while they are open on Thursdays.
If your youth is interested in participating in the Haunted House and helping serve scares to New Paltz patrons, they can find the sign-up sheet on the chalkboard at the Youth Center.

Staff will work with your youth to find the perfect role for them!

Round 3 of the Plus One ADU Program

Round 3 of the Plus One ADU Program is now open to homeowners in all municipalities where the zoning permits ADUs. Grants of up to $112,500 are available to homeowners earning at or below area median income to construct an ADU if they agree to keep the rent affordable for 10 years and do not use the ADU as a short-term rental. She’s toured the world, topped the charts back home in Ireland, and now she’s bringing that voice of hers to our little corner of New Paltz.
