Watch for black ice on the roads this morning. Many areas saw below freezing temperatures overnight but we will see highs in the mid 50s and sunshine helping with melting later today. Sunday will be much warmer with highs near 70 degrees. The next chance for rain and storms comes on Monday morning.
The thaw continues as we see rising temps over the weekend. Tonight is the final night of freezing temps with lows in the mid 20s north and lower 30s south. Saturday sunny and warmer as we approach 60°

Another freeze tonight north shore with lows in the mid to upper 20s. Run water north. South lows 29-32°. No need to run water all south shore parishes and communities. We warm with more thawing to near 50° tomorrow.
Hard freeze tonight will cause a lot of ice on the roads as many areas of snow and melted snow will turn to ice. I would discourage any travel from 8pm through 11am Thursday.

Arctic air is here and will only get colder through mid-week. Snow is likely through most of the area including the city. A mix of sleet mixed with some snow farther south along the coast. Pipe busting freeze north and south of the lake starting tonight through Thursday morning. All precautions needed.

The Arctic front is arriving today bringing some rain before a huge drop in temperatures by Sunday. We go from low 70s to mid 40s with colder wind chills. Dangerous cold settles in by Monday morning and a winter storm moves in as early as Monday night. Snow and ice accumulations could exceed 6" in some areas so expect significant travel issues and power outages. @fox8nola
