Let's bring the community together y'all! Announcing 10.23, a day for the WHIV community to celebrate our station and kick off our 10th anniversary celebrations!

The station will be open on Wednesday October 23rd from 10:23 am to 10:23 pm for all of our radio community to come by and visit. Come check out the station that is broadcasting human rights and social justice from New Orleans to the world, and find out about our plans to bring you even more of the content that make New Orleans the greatest place in the world to live.

We will have delicious snacks, quenching drinks, and music that gives you hope all day. Plus, you'll get a chance to have a behind-the-scenes look at the station and maybe even meet your favorite DJ or show host. Or, maybe you want to know more about how to be involved with the nation's only community radio station dedicated to human rights and social justice. This is your chance to connect with the WHIV team, see where the counter-culture sausage gets made, and celebrate the revolutionary spirit of New Orleans. Save the date and see you there!

No city throws down like New Orleans and no station throws down like WHIV! We held an epic 2024 Grassroots Radio Conference with more than 200 in attendance. So many folks dedicated to the power of community radio to create positive change - it was truly inspiring! More photos and reflections to come!

Thank you to 102.3 WHIV FM for hosting a truly epic Grassroots Radio Conference in the magical city of New Orleans! I know we all learned so much and the very best part was just being together again with all our community radio friends! Thanks to everyone who made the journey! Can't wait 'till our paths cross again soon!

Up in Nashville till next Friday 9/20! Unfortunately back in New Orleans the power at my place seems to be going in and out. The Internet is definitely down. Without being able to remotely log into my home computer, I will not be able to create shows for next week. I can say that Monday September 22nd NOLA County will definitely return to the airwaves with a rad interview with Rhett Miller from Old 97's talking about their new album American Primitive on ATO Records and their show at Tipitina's Sunday September 29th! Kimmi Bitter opens.
