The only thing hotter than the weather right now is our filming schedule. 🔥

We dodged Cox Internet graciously going in and out during Zoom calls, weather, traffic, and parking woes in order to bring you all kinds of local coverage! ⚜️

From hotels to hurricanes (unlike the Beryl variety), piano bars, carousel bars, sausage, beans, rockstar chefs both local & from other parts of the south, Roman Candy, weekly updates with the one & only April Dupré (and sooo much more), we saw it all last week!...And we’re only warming up. 🥵

Some days are just better than others…and we had many better-than-good days this past week.

From the production room at the iconic Camellia Beans and seasoned ovens at Crescent City Meat Company, to cooking with Chef Eric Cook at Gris-Gris in the Lower Garden District, we were reminded how lucky we are to be able to capture the many stories of New Orleans.

All the history and storytelling is only surpassed by a bowl of red beans and rice (with andouille sausage and tasso ham, of course) at the end of a long day in the city.

One of the wonderful things about growing up in New Orleans is that a good snowball is never far.

From before you can hold your own spoon to when you’re bringing a fam of your own to the snowball stand, we can all agree this simple treat is the easiest way to get a little joy on an otherwise atrociously hot day.

From Pandora's Snoballs then New Orleans City Park to Ike's Snowballs, Plum Street Snoballs at Jazz Fest, Uptown at Hansen's Sno-Bliz, and beyond, we’ve been following LOVENOLAtv’s youngest correspondents’ favorite snowball spots since day one!

Today is Juneteenth! There are SO many ways to have celebrated, but one we highly recommend is to support to Black-owned businesses on Bayou Road.

Over the past two decades, Bayou Road has seen revitalization by a community dedicated to preserving its rich heritage. Behind this movement is a family of Black New Orleanians with longtime connections to the area. They’ve transformed blighted buildings into bustling hubs for Black-owned businesses and cultural centers.

‼️ Let’s uplift these establishments not just on Juneteenth but EVERY day! ‼️

During your next visit, start by eating at Nonno’s, McHardy’s, Addis NOLA, CoCo Hut, or Cupcake Fairies.
Next, shop at the Community Book Center and King and Queen Emporium.
End the day with a drink at Whiskey & Sticks.

We caught up with him last week at Comedy House New Orleans to get a life update, and man - we’re so happy to see him crushing it at doing what he loves! 🎤 If you’re lucky enough to have a golden ticket for tomorrow, good for you!
