For the East Lyme boys' indoor track team one of their rivalries is a friendly one, with distance all-stars Sean McCauley and Sam Leone finishing first and second in the 1,600 meters, each of them breaking the previous meet record.

Cheung buried a foul-line jumper to set the school all-time scoring record for boys and girls at Montville. She passed Nikkia Smith who graduated in 2009 with 1,397 points.

Megan Chapman was the kid who would hide behind the pole vault pit to get out of running a warmup lap. And yet last month Chapman, 32, was a participant in runDisney's D***y Challenge at Walt Disney World, completing a 5K, 10K, half-marathon and full marathon on consecutive days.

Windham outscored Montville 33-0 in the third quarter on the way to a 81-17 win. Aniya Jenkins led Windham with 35 points, while Jaelize Rivera scored 14. Montville's Jada Cheung (7 points) broke the school's all-time scoring record with a jump shot in the second quarter.
