Owner and operator Ryan Wooley has been packing dance floors at special events for nearly 20 years as a professional DJ. He got his first start in the DJ booth at roller skating rink in Westland Michigan before branching out and taking his show on the road for weddings, graduation parties, corporate events, and more. He also is no stranger to the microphone as he was a local radio sportscaster in
the Metro-Detroit area for both 97.1 “The Ticket” and WWJ Newsradio 950 for 13 years, and still handles play by play for Eastern Michigan University's men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball on ESPN+. He is also the color analyst for high school football and basketball on 93.5 WHMI. Even though I’ve handled a handful of events already this year, tonight kicks off “wedding season” as I have my first wedding from The Willows Barn Venue at Blakney Farms, and I absolutely love working this place.

The WHMI 93-5 FM sports team (Danny Leach, Lawton Lunce, Richard Renko, and myself) took home “Best Play-by-Play” for our coverage of high school football this past season for our broadcast of the Chelsea vs Tecumseh playoff game.
So happy to work alongside some of the best in the business, and catch up with some friends at WWJ, 97.1, WJR, WEMU, and Channel 4 this evening.

I had the call of today's thriller alongside Reggie Butler as Eastern Michigan played host to Kent State. EMU trailed by 17 with 13 minutes to go in the 2nd half and rallied to not only tie the game on a last-second three to force overtime, but put up the game-winner over the defending MAC champs with just :02 left on the clock! I was also able to give a shoutout to the late, great, John Fountain who passed away by using his famous "red pop" tagline as we headed into the OT session. Be sure to join us on Tuesday night as Central Michigan comes to town at 7pm!
