This post is for all the mom’s that make cakes and cupcakes for their families. Did you ever buy this type of frosting? Package says it covers 9x13 cake or 24 cupcakes. But once you spread it, it was not enough? Well that is because these type of frostings are suppose to be whipped with a hand mixer. It adds air to the frosting making it lighter and gives it the ability to cover what the package says. No where on the package does it tell you to do this. Years ago I would buy two to cover one cake not having this knowledge. Now I don’t buy these but wanted to share the information so you don’t buy extra frosting. Money saving tip of the day!

As of February 7th, I will be closing the cafe portion on Mama Tuesday’s temporarily. I am shifting my focus to ensure the highest quality of sandwiches and catering for this community and surrounding area. I will still accept catering orders for 8 or more sandwiches and/ or boxed lunches with a 24 hour notice. I will continue to take catering orders and pre orders for cakes, cupcakes and cake pops, etc. This is a temporary change and apology for the inconvenience.

She did it again tonight! She wanted to make salmon and sweet potatoes, with garlicky green beans! She did it by herself! I only helped with time management. This dinner took more time because sweet potatoes need 1 1/2 hours to cook. But it is delicious and I didn’t have to cook again tonight. another win for me!

Just had to share! My 12 year old daughter made dinner tonight so I could take a night off. Super delicious. She takes after her mom! Lol I supervised very little she really did it all by herself. Super simple recipe too.
