We moved into this little beauty about 6 weeks ago. She's cute, and we have lovingly nick named her Betty White🥰

I'm not sure what year she was built, but based on others in our neighborhood, we think sometime mid 50's.

Not as old as our last house we moved from.
We were there for 17 years. It was a beautiful century home, built in 1912.
We poured so much love and work into that home over the years...and all 3 of our babies were born there! It was an emotional move to say the least❤

We are so excited though to bring some life back into this little gem and continue our journey from here!

Kia Orana All. I live most of the year in Rarotonga but this is my home in the historic village of Ophir, Central Otago, NZ. The cottage part you can see in this photo was brought as a flatpack from Tasmania in 1862.

'I live in an 1870s farmhouse in California. While gardening one day last year, I espied a glint of gold! I had dug up a thick gold band! I rinsed it off and found that it was inscribed inside, Elinor Aberdeen 1870. I have lived in this house for 38 years and this was by far the most interesting thing I have ever found!
I called my friend Sharlene Van Rooy, who is a historical detective buff, and together we spent hours of research finding all the previous owners of the house.
Finally, we "struck gold". We discovered that the local postmaster, Llewellyn Thornton, had lived in the house between 1892-1901, and he had a grandmother named Elinor Aberdeen!
Elinor was born in Ireland in 1808. She had one daughter with John Aberdeen in 1833. This daughter married and came to California. Elinor stayed in Kentucky. She died on July 1, 1880 at the age of 72 and was buried in Versailles, Kentucky.
Elinor's grandson lived in my house after Elinor had died. Logic tells us that the ring was lost by one of his family members here in my yard between 1892-1901. And I found it approximately 122 years later!
My friend Sharlene and I were able to find the great great granddaughter of Elinor Aberdeen, Mary Doherty, just a few hours away. We met, had a lovely lunch together, and gave her back her long lost family heirloom!

So my wife found something awesome, 1 gallon of vinegar, 1/2 cup of salt and a couple of squirts of dawn dish detergent... Kills w**ds and grass in less than two hours, and it's safe for kids and pets and less than $5.....that is all

I had this mysterious plant growing in my yard and i decided to let it grow to see what it was
And here is the mysterious plant in all its glory!!!
Ribwort Plantain
Tis a "w**d" . Anyone walking by would say it needs to be cut down because it's a w**d
Did you know that the leaves of this plant help stop itching from mosquito bites and bee stings and other minor scratches?
All I have to do is take the leaves, cut them, and rub it on my bites and boom no more itching?
And yet they say we should cut down this NATURAL HEALER and buy cream from CVS instead.
I have so much of this plant growing!!! I'm gonna figure out how to make salves with it and give them to everyone I know. Educate them on how things growing in your own yard can heal you... for free.
Stop cutting down what you don't understand. Take the time to be patient and actually learn. You might find that you have something pretty special.

pick up old table umbrellas out for the trash. I take off the fabric and they can be adjusted to the height you want. I'm using this one for pole beans and I do cucumbers

I always forget to shut the the water off. Now I have this! It might look alarming but, This is a brand NEW gas head. $40 for the handle and components. When it's full- it shuts off just like at a gas pump. I set it in a U bolt and walk away. No more messy paddock when I forget!

EDIT: to everyone saying "you could just buy floating valves" I have tried them all and most have broken within weeks of purchase. I just threw out another one today. I also prefer to be able to monitor my horses water intake and I simply can remove this when done. They are not the same. Just because they work for you doesn't mean it will work for other people.

Product info: I bought the valve off of Amazon NEW of course. And had to get A female adapter and U joint hardware.
