MY DIL TOOK MY CAR WITHOUT PERMISSION AT NIGHT AND CRASHED IT—I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I FOUND OUT WHERE SHE HAD GONE.

ME: You had no right to take my car without asking, especially in the middle of the night!

DIL: What’s the big deal? You’re not even using it!

ME: You could’ve at least let me know! And how are we supposed to fix it now? Also, where were you even going at night while my son’s out of town!?

DIL: That’s none of your business! And don’t even start with me about money. I’m not paying a dime just because your junker has bad brakes!

Honestly, I was on the edge of losing it and saying something nasty to her! But karma did its thing. Right at that moment, my phone rang — it was my son.

BEING A POOR WIDOW, I GAVE MY CHILDREN A HAPPY CHILDHOOD BY HANDCRAFTING TOYS FOR THEM

Picture this: I have two kids, and my husband passed away when the oldest was just two. He left behind a mountain of debt from a failed business. Fast forward to two years later, and my MIL also passed away. Yeah, that's basically my life in a nutshell.

So, I poured every penny I had into the kids, food, and keeping the lights on. I was so broke that buying toys for them wasn't even an option. Honestly, it sucked seeing my little ones get the short end of the stick like that.

Fast forward to today: they're in their mid-20s, have solid jobs, and living their best lives. Every time they visit, they grin at this one toy I somehow managed to craft for Christmas when we were dirt poor.

I ENDED A BRILLIANT CAREER BECAUSE OF MY HUSBAND—NOW HE'S DIVORCING ME FOR HIS YOUNG SECRETARY
Todd (47) and I met when we were just teens. I was a rising star in gymnastics—everyone said I’d make it to the Olympics, bask in glory. But there was Todd, and I was head over heels in love, so, well, I gave it all up.
And then, I lost myself. For 15 years, I did everything: worked on his farm, kept the house. I let myself go, gained weight, and dragged through each miserable day. Instead of support, all I felt was the distance between us growing wider. God knows, I tried to save us.
Fast forward to the our anniversary. I went all out—candlelit dinner, romance—the works. Well, sure: he came home, muttering something on his way to the bedroom.

I CAME HOME FROM A TRIP TO FIND OUR HOUSE DESTROYED BY MY HUSBAND AND KIDS — THEY BLAMED IT ON ME, SO I TAUGHT THEM A LESSON

My hands are shaking with rage as I type this, but these things need to be said and heard. I'm a working mom of two who recently went on a work trip. Before leaving, I gave my husband a list of instructions and reminders about our kids' schedules.

I meal-prepped for a week, did the laundry, and laid out the kids' outfits for every day. I DID EVERYTHING I COULD TO MAKE HIS LIFE EASIER for him while I was working out of state.

TELL ME WHY I CAME BACK TO A HOUSE IN SHAMBLES?! On my way from the airport, all I could think about was my comfy bed and a warm dinner. I ALMOST BROKE DOWN CRYING WHEN I SAW what happened to the house while I was gone. There was nothing to eat, and my bed was covered in piles of clothes. HOW DO YOU EVEN DO THAT IN A WEEK?!
