I'm 15. My dad married my stepmom two months ago, and it's been hell since they moved in with us.

We have a three-bedroom house. Before, my dad and I each had our rooms with bathrooms, and the smaller room was my dad's study. Now, Penny, my stepsister who's 16, took my room, and I'm stuck sharing the small room with Peter (11) and William (10). All my books, telescope, and stuff are packed in the basement because there's no space.

We really wanted to get away from the city for a week – me, Steve, our kids, and Steve's mom. Steve's always bragging about how he knows the best spots, so I let him take the lead and handle all the travel stuff.

Okay, so my husband's always been kinda rude about my weight, right? Annoying, but I usually let it slide. I tried to understand him after he lost his job, trying to support him as much as I could. James is a special kid who does not talk much and is afraid of strangers. Whenever I took him to the supermarket with me, he would often break down from overstimulation, and I almost gave up trying to take him out of the house until he met Mckella. She was the sweetest cashier lady, and they clicked instantly.

Since then, he would be the one who wanted to hand her the money, or he would try to help her pack our bags. We would always look for Mckella and wait for her, no matter how long the line was.
