Mama’s Kitchen Press Publishing Journey 🚂

Ever wondered about our publication process? Here’s an internal look at our process. Each book goes through a 5 step process that takes up to 2 years from signing. Why? Not only are we an intimate team, but we navigate each step in the book journey with care and intention. Our end goal will always be an excellent, well-curated book.

1. Book Proposal Submission & Review Process – This is where it all begins! Submit your proposal, and our team carefully reviews it to determine if it’s a good fit for Mama’s Kitchen Press.

2. Editorial Diagnosis & Contracts Signed– Once your project is accepted, we dive into an editorial diagnosis to assess the book’s needs and goals. After that, we sign contracts to officially start the journey together.

3. Editorial + Design– Now, the real transformation begins! Our editors work closely with you to refine your manuscript, while our design team creates a visually appealing layout and cover.

4. Proofing– This crucial step involves multiple rounds of proofreading to ensure your book is polished and ready for readers.

5. Publication– Finally, it’s time to share your book with the world! We oversee the publishing process to make sure everything goes smoothly, from printing to distribution.
