I want everyone to know how to save dogs because I love them deeply, and it's important to ensure that they receive the care and love they deserve.

Greyfriars Bobby was a Skye Terrier who lived in Edinburgh, Scotland in the 19th century. The story goes that he belonged to a man named John Gray, a night watchman who worked for the Edinburgh City Police.

Bobby and John Gray were inseparable, and they spent all their time together. They even slept in the same room. But in 1858, John Gray died of tuberculosis, and was buried in Greyfriars Kirkyard, a nearby cemetery.

After his owner's death, Bobby refused to leave his side, and stayed by his grave day and night. People in the city were touched by the dog's loyalty and dedication, and they began to leave food and water for him.

The cemetery caretaker tried to evict Bobby several times, but the dog always returned to the grave. Eventually, the Lord Provost of Edinburgh granted Bobby permission to stay in the cemetery, and the people of the city even built him a shelter.

For the next 14 years, until his own death in 1872, Bobby guarded John Gray's grave in Greyfriars Kirkyard, only leaving briefly each day to go get food from a nearby restaurant. He became a legend in Edinburgh, and his story spread far and wide.

Today, there is a statue of Greyfriars Bobby in Edinburgh, and the pub where he supposedly slept is still standing. His story is a testament to the loyalty and devotion that dogs are capable of, and it continues to inspire people around the world.

This is the story of Hachiko, a dog who became a symbol of loyalty in Japan. In 1923, a Japanese citizen named Isaburo found Hachiko as a small puppy in a box inside one of the train cars he took daily to work. He decided to take the dog home and raise him.

As Hachiko grew up, he began accompanying Isaburo to the train station every day, waiting for him until he returned home from work, which was usually about 10 hours later. This became a daily routine for both of them.

One day in 1925, Isaburo suffered a fatal heart attack at work and did not return home. Despite this, Hachiko continued to go to the train station and wait for him every day, not realizing that his owner had passed away.

For 10 years, Hachiko remained loyal to his owner, waiting at the train station for his return. His unwavering devotion to Isaburo touched the hearts of many people and made him a symbol of loyalty and fidelity in Japan.

A statue of Hachiko was erected at the entrance of Shibuya Station in Japan to commemorate his loyalty and devotion. Even after many years, people still pay tribute to Hachiko by visiting the statue and remembering his story.

Hachiko's story reminds us of the importance of loyalty, sacrifice, sincerity, giving, and devotion in our relationships with those we love.

lufthansa flight turbulence dog

On Wednesday evening, a canine traveler by the name of Arlo, a goldendoodle breed, was on board a Lufthansa flight from Austin, Texas to Frankfurt, Germany, en route to Singapore, when the plane encountered severe turbulence, forcing an emergency landing at Washington, DC. The incident caused injuries to at least seven people on board, and it took several hours for Arlo's owner, Garrett Stuteville, who resides in Singapore, to learn that his furry companion was safe.

Garrett shared with Insider that his furry friend was meant to have a layover in Frankfurt so he could get out of his cage for a few hours, but after the plane landed at Dulles Airport, Garrett was left in the dark as he hadn't received any updates from the airline or the airport regarding Arlo's safety. The pup had been locked in his crate for more than 10 hours, and the TSA rules prohibited him from getting out. Garrett just wanted a confirmation that Arlo was okay from someone on the ground.

As he and his wife had hired a company to handle the transportation process, Garrett's agent had managed to get in touch with Lufthansa agents in Germany, but no representatives from Washington, DC, had contacted them. Eventually, Lufthansa informed Insider that the dog was unharmed and was continuing his journey to Singapore.

After nearly 22 hours since the flight landed at Dulles, Garrett confirmed with Insider that Arlo was safe and sound, taken care of by the Lufthansa grounds crew at Dulles Airport. They received pictures of Arlo, who was doing well.

According to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, Lufthansa Flight 469 was compelled to land at Dulles Airport at approximately 9:10 p.m. on Wednesday. A Lufthansa spokesperson revealed that the flight underwent "brief severe turbulence" around 90 minutes into its voyage, resulting in an emergency landing. This kind of turbulence, known as clear air turbulence, can occur without any visible weather phenomena or advance warning, and it can be perilous.

The turbulence led to some passengers suffering from minor injuries, and the airline provided onboard care for them. Nonetheless, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority reported that at least seven people were injured and required hospital treatment due to the turbulence. A man whose wife was on the flight shared a photo on Twitter revealing that trash and food trays were scattered throughout the aircraft's aisle. He stated that the pilot informed the passengers that lightning had hit the plane, which exacerbated the turbulence.

Dogs in chernobyl

The Chornobyl nuclear power plant disaster in 1986 forced the permanent evacuation of local residents, leaving behind their homes and pets. Officials tried to exterminate the abandoned animals, but a population of dogs survived and found fellowship with Chornobyl cleanup crews and power plant workers. Hundreds of free-ranging dogs now live in the exclusion zone and roam through the abandoned city of Pripyat. Scientists have conducted the first deep dive into the dogs' DNA and found that they are genetically distinct from purebred canines and other groups of free-breeding dogs. The project is a collaboration among scientists in the United States, Ukraine, and Poland, as well as the Clean Futures Fund, a nonprofit in Chornobyl. The study will help understand how long-term radiation exposure has affected dogs and what it takes to survive an environmental catastrophe.

Dog rescued from Turkey earthquake rubble 3 weeks later as human death toll soars over 50,000

In southern Turkey, rescuers were able to pull a dog named Aleks alive from a collapsed building three weeks after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit the area. Local teams from a municipality in central Turkey saved Aleks on Wednesday and delivered him to Haytap, an animal protection association in the city of Antakya. The rescue was caught on video, which showed rescuers calling out to the trapped dog and eventually embracing him once he was freed. The organization has been working to rescue numerous animals from the rubble in Antakya, including dogs, rabbits, cows, and birds. The death toll from the earthquake and a subsequent 7.5-magnitude tremor has exceeded 50,000 people in Turkey and almost 6,000 people across the border in northern Syria.
