Advanced copies of Mandrake Vol. 2 have arrived! This means the rest are on the way from the printer. Once they arrive we will begin processing all the pre-orders in the order they were placed.

This volume contains the stories: Return of the Clay Camel, The Slave Traders of Tygandi, Mandrake in the Lost World, Mandrake in the Lost World, In the Cobra's Grip, and Mandrake in America.

We are expecting this to arrive sometime in October.

Volume 3 is currently in production :)

One question we get a lot is "what do you mean by damaged?" Well, for us, that can mean a variety of things. Some examples included in the images that we see most often are bumped corners (could be on any part of the cover/spine), and/or damage to the dust jacket.

As most of our products are heading to the homes of collectors, we do our best to make sure, when you order from directly, that you are getting products in awesome condition.

Our damaged products are priced to reflect the issues, and are generally marked at around 50% off the cover price. Damaged items come in and out of stock, and when they are available you can find them in the product listing, below the name.

Know that if you order any of our damaged items, this does not affect the readability on the contents and is only cosmetic damage. We don't take individual pictures of damaged items for sale, but we hope this clears up a bit of what to expect if you do order these deeply discounted items.

Thanks everyone for making our sale such a smashing success! Kandice is back in the office (and has been for a few days) and has been busy packing and shipping orders.

Our stock from SDCC has made it back to the office today, and as usual, looks a little worse for wear. But you know what that means? Lots of damaged items! You all have done a great job of clearing our damaged shelf as of late, so perfect timing.

We invite everyone who is at SDCC to join us for our panel, featuring our upcoming title The Art of George Wilson. The panel takes place in room 32 AB at 3 PM (PST).

Panel Description: The Art of George Wilson — the Comic-Con/world premiere of Hermes Press' new book The Art of George Wilson. Wilson, the foremost artist of painted comic book covers in the Silver Age and Bronze Age created covers for Dr. Solar, Magnus Robot Fighter, Tarzan, Turok Son of Stone, Star Trek and too many others to mention, that are truly iconic. This book is the first in-depth art monograph surveying all of Wilson's accomplishments spanning over forty years. The panel will begin with a video featuring numerous examples of Wilson's covers highlighting his original production paintings, which will then lead into the panel. The panel will be moderated by Daniel Herman (Publisher of Hermes Press, Silver Age: The Second Generation of Comic Book Artists) and feature Joe Jusko (The Savage Sword of Conan); Anthony Taylor (The Art of George Wilson); and Brian Peck (John Buscema: Michelangelo of Comics). Advanced copy day! We love advanced copy day because that means these books are now in transit from the printer.

Mandrake Vol. 2 is at the printer and we hope to have advanced copies to show off soon, along with Phantom 33.

With the upcoming July 4th Holiday shortly approaching, our office is closed this week (July 1-July 5) as our staff travels and celebrates with family. Orders that are ready for shipment, including any remaining who pre-ordered Mandrake and Phantom 32, will be shipped on July 8.

It's a hot and sunny day here at Hermes Press - but that's not going to stop us from unloading all these awesome books! The shipment for Phantom 32 and Mandrake Vol. 1 has just arrived!

If you pre-ordered either (or both) of these titles from our website, you should have tracking over the next few days. We go in order of when the orders were placed and only have one packing person currently who will work as fast as possible to get your orders to you.

We are excited at the pending arrival of Mandrake Vol. 1 and Phantom 32 later this week. We are currently waiting on final delivery confirmation to our warehouse and once they arrive we can begin shipping all the pre-orders! Another post will follow when they arrive.

Mandrake Vol. 1 turned out to be a much longer process than anticipated, due to the age of the material. As mentioned in one of our last posts, we try very hard to produce the best material for our fantastic customers, and sometimes that takes time. The good news is that Mandrake Vol. 2 is already at the printer and Vol. 3 is well into production. We don't anticipate any further issues for upcoming volumes as we already have much of the material.

All pre-orders are filled in the order they were received, so if you don't get tracking right away, never fear - most of our shipping is done by one person who packs as quickly as possible.

Other titles currently at the printer include: Popeye, Dark Shadows, and Johnny Hazard Vol. 12. We will post photos of advanced copies as soon as they arrive.

As always, thanks for being awesome fans and customers. We know it can get bumpy sometimes, but know we always have you in mind as we work towards getting books into your hands.

Last week a few of our team members took a trip to beautiful Michigan to get material for upcoming projects. We always look to use the best material possible in our reprints and have a long time relationship with Michigan State University, who you will see regularly thanked in the acknowledgments section of titles like The Phantom, Johnny Hazard, and Mandrake the Magician.

Right now we are trying to source for the Phantom Sundays and are currently working on Sundays 10 (no official release date yet) with material we just finished compiling. We know it's been a while since we released a Phantom Sundays volume and we are excited to continue that series.

Mandrake Vol 1 and Phantom 32 are expected to arrived in the next two weeks and we are very excited to get those out into the hands of everyone who has pre-ordered. Mandrake Vol. 2 is off to the printer, along with a few other titles that we will have updates for soon!

We are working to provide new social media content for all of you wonderful followers. Instead of our usual postings of the different covers/items, it is our goal to post a few times a week some behind the scenes content and updates on our currently projects.
