DIY CORNBREAD MIX
INGREDIENTS
4 cups cornmeal, fine or medium grind
4 cups AP flour
Ā¼ cup baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
TO MAKE CORNBREAD MIX:
In a large bowl, whisk together all ingredients until very well-combined. Store in a labeled, airtight container.
TO USE CORNBREAD MIX:
Preheat oven to 400Ā°F.
Measure 2 cups of Cornbread Mix into a large bowl. Stir in the milk, egg, melted butter, and desired amount of honey. Pour cornbread batter into pan and bake for 20 minutes, or until surface is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
For 12 muffin cups (for muffins, reduce the bake time to about 15 minutes). If making muffins, generously grease the pan/muffin cups with butter spray with nonstick cooking spray, or line with muffin liners
DIY INSTANT REFRIED BEANS
This inexpensive make ahead Refried Bean Mix recipe is very easy to make and less than .05 per prepared serving.
3 cups dried navy or pinto beans
3 tsp. dried cumin
3 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
3 tbsp dried minced onion
In a coffee grinder, food mill or blender, grind beans until a flour consistency. Combine all ingredients and store in a mason jar.
To Use:
3/4 cup mix
2-1/2 cups boiling water
Mix with a wire whisk until combined. Bring to boil, cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 4-5 minutes or until thickened. (You can add a small amount of lard if desired) Mixture will thicken more as it cools. Refried beans will remain thickened even when reheated.

LETS MAKE SOME PIZZA DOUGH
This batch will make 2 large pizzas! You can make the dough the night before, wrap it in saran wrap and refrigerate, or you can make it before dinner,this dough doesnāt really need time to rise. Add all of your favorite toppings on it and you have a meal that the whole family loves!
Ingredients:
3 1/2 Cups Flour
3 tsp instant yeast
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tsp oregano
1 1/2 tsp basil
1 tsp rosemary
Mix all of your dry ingredients together and pour them into your mason jar.
To make the dough:
Mix 1 3/4 cups dry mix with 1 1/2 tbsp oil and 2/3 cups warm water. Mix, and then knead by hand until dough forms a ball ~ it should not be overly sticky. Roll the mix into a pan (non-stick cookie sheet or pizza pan) and cover with your favorite toppings.
Bake in oven at 375 f for 30 mins ~ or until cheese is bubbly and crust turns lightly golden, and enjoy!
DIY CREAM OF CHICKEN MIX
Cream of Chicken Soup Mix from scratch! Yep! Itās incredibly easy and super cheap to make!
1 3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cups dry milk powder
3 Tbsp chicken bouillon powder
1 1/2 Tbsp dried chopped onion
Mix all of the ingredients into a bowl and store in a mason jar.
To turn your mix into a soup just whisk together 1/2 cup soup mix with 1 1/4 cups water.
DIY PUMPKIN PEANUT TREATS
I absolutely love that this frozen puppy treats recipe only uses a few ingredientsācanned pumpkin, peanut butter, coconut oil, and cinnamon. Make sure the peanut butter you use doesnāt have Xylitol in it.
1 cup pumpkin puree **puree NOT pie filling
Ā½ cup + 2 tbsp peanut butter
Ā¼ cup coconut oil, melted
Ā½ tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Combine the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, melted coconut oil, and ground cinnamon together in a bowl until combined.
Spoon the mixture into the silicone dog treat molds until they are filled to the top.
Tap the silicone trays lightly on the counter then scrape the top of the mold with a rubber spatula to remove any excess from the top.
Place the silicone molds into the freezer on a flat shelf for 3-4 hours.
Store the frozen treats in a sealed large freezer zip-lock bag.

Optional ingredients - 1 tablespoon oil of choice (coconut, jojoba, almond, argan), 1 - 2 tablespoon dried spices, Ā¼ c sea salt
Mix well and store!
DIY PEPPER GRAVY MIX
5 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups powdered milk
1 tsp of both salt and course black pepper
1/2 cup cornstarch
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and stir well.
Put in an airtight container to store.
To Make the Gravy:.
Take a couple Tbsp. of bacon drippings and heat in a pan over medium heat.
Take 3-4 heaping Tbls. of mix and sprinkle over the bacon grease. Using a fork or a whisk, consistently blend the mixture with the bacon grease until the well incorporated and there are NO LUMPS.
Add 1-1/2 cup milk and whisk well.
Cook until thickened. Scraping the bottom of the pan often so not to scorch your gravy. If your gravy does scorch, toss out and start over. Nothing worse than burnt gravy!
It will be rich and creamy using milk but water will work fine too as there is powdered milk in the mix.
Additional salt & pepper to taste.
EDIT: The vacuum sealer does not go over the lid. It just goes over the seal on the jar.
