Freddie Mercury was so ill when the band recorded the song "The Show Must Go On" in 1990 that Brian May had concerns about whether he was physically capable of singing it.
Recalling Freddie's performance, Brian says, "The melody called for some very demanding top notes, and I'd only been able to demo them in falsetto. I said to Freddie, 'I don't want you to strain yourself—this stuff isn't going to be easy in full voice, even for you!'
"Freddie told me, 'Don't worry—I'll fu***ng nail it, darling!'
"I said, 'Fred, I don't know if this is going to be possible to sing.' And he went, 'I'll fu***ng do it, darling,' vodka down, and went in and killed it, completely lacerated that vocal.

When I told him they were waiting to be given laundry, with a look of sheer disbelief he said, 'You gotta be kidding me!' What a great night."💗

Crockpot Creamy Potato & Hamburger Soup is a deliciously rich and comforting dish that’s perfect for a cozy meal.

My cheap & lazy meal tonight
Chicken Pot Pie Pasta!
1 can of cream of chicken
1 can of cream of mushroom
1 can cream of celery
2 cans of chicken
1 package of frozen veggies
1 package of egg noodles
Season however you like.😊
*Directions: cook noodles, dump all ingredients into 1 pan. The end.

I’ve recently moved into a house that’s over 100-years old. I believe it was quite large and elegant when it was newer. Now it’s divided into a 2-family house, and it would need some work if one wanted to restore it to its former glory. (It’s still solid, comfortable and safe.) There are some lovely touches here and there that still show its elegance, like these beautiful door hinges on the 3rd floor. I never had much appreciation for hinges before, beyond their functionality.

As water makes its triumphant return to homes in Asheville, we owe a debt of gratitude not only to the many who worked on restoring the water system, including T & K Utilities, who connected the 36" bypass line at the North Fork Reservoir but also the Statesville Police Department, who were the first to secure the site, making it safe for workers.

13 officers departed Statesville toward Asheville on September 30th, and many are still here assisting however they can. To Statesville PD; all of Asheville and beyond says THANK YOU!

"Hello from Texas! I need to take a minute and brag about this girl right here. My daughter Meadow is a sophomore at Construction Careers Academy studying plumbing, pipe fitting, and welding. She’s one of only a handful of girls in her school. On Monday, our pipes burst after having single digit temperatures in west San Antonio. We had no power and water and had to go stay at my mom’s for the past five days. It was 34 degrees in our house. Today Meadow went with me to the hardware store, picked out all the parts we needed, and did the repairs completely independently! This girl is only 15 years old and thanks to her, her three younger Autistic brothers, and I can finally go home. She even swallowed her social anxiety and knocked on the neighbor’s door to see if they needed help with their pipes. Everyone worried about us down here in Texas, just know, we have a whole group of amazing young people who are going to change the world!"

NON-RIDERS TAKE NOTE!
Riders already know this, but for those who haven't been part of a benefit ride, here's something you should understand:
Bikers PAY to ride. Yes, something they could do for free, but they choose to pay anywhere from $10 to $30 per person. And it doesn't stop there—they often spend even more on raffles, 50/50 tickets, silent auctions, and Toy Runs for kids.
So, when you see a group of bikers passing by, chances are they're riding for a charity or a noble cause. Instead of feeling frustrated by the traffic or minor delays, remember that these are some of the most generous people out there!
Give them space and your patience. Sometimes, a little reminder helps. So next time you see them, smile and remember that they’re doing something good for someone in need, maybe even someone you know. ❤️🙏
