Our Wrestler of the week is Miguel Gomes who wrestled great this weekend being seeded 2nd in the 138lbs bracket. Miguel worked his way into finals in a dominating fashion to win his first ever tournament. He won 3 matches this weekend 2 by fall and 1 by technical fall🙌🏽Let’s keep the ball rolling Miggy✔️🏅

New Bedford Wrestling finished second in the 40th Marshfield Holiday tournament. There were 37 teams at the tournament and this was the second two day tournament the Whalers went to in the past two weeks. Placing for the Whalers-

Edrian, who placed fifth in one of the most difficult tournaments in New England, is our wrestler of the week. Edrain showed a lot of passion and toughness by winning seven matches, including three tight decision matches that went to the wire and had four pins. With eight seconds remaining in his placement match against Shawsheen, Edrain was trailing 7-9, but he didn’t count himself out, he managed to chain wrestle and get the buzzer be**er takedown to win the match. We are extremely proud of you. B-D-A✔️
