A little "Feel Good Friday" action here as we celebrate the 2024 winner of the Alice and Richard Schleicher Individual Award. This is given to a person who has made significant contributions to the community through non-profit work, including volunteer efforts and monetary gifts while demonstrating a commitment to personal values, influence in the community, and leadership with non-profits. Allen Pierce struggled with life and with the help of Personal Counseling Services and The Word he has found new life as he unmasked his mental health. The Les & Virginia Albro For-Profit Samaritan Award is given to a business that makes significant contributions to the community through its business dealings and contributions of time and money to non-profit organizations. Businesses should be ethical organizations that have effectively partnered with other businesses, non-profits and/or government entities.
Businesses should be able to demonstrate going far above and beyond what is required by law or industry standards. The business nominated should be headquartered in the PCS service area or have significant operations in the area.
