This past Sunday I was surprisingly invited into a week long sabbatical of silence. (That’s how Divine Dares happen - unexpectedly and sounding crazy!)

I’m only temporarily breaking my week long silence now, to express my immense gratitude to those of you who traversed the journey with me as I blogged in real time, as well as to those who read my words in the memoir of Heavenly Birth published afterwards.

Monday I broke out in a bizarre rash (maybe to ensure I stay home secluded and without distraction of human interaction) Tonight I was led to revisit my entries from June 1 - June 9th.

Jonnae’s life .. our faith .. my journey as her mother .. can only be remotely understood within those pages! Those of you who weathered emotions to stay with me through the pain, remaining steadfast in faith and gratitude, continue to sustain my fuel for the journey. There aren’t words to express my heartfelt gratitude!!

My account of our journey, though those pages take me back. My tears water the garden of my soul. My faith and gratitude remain unshaken; though many a spiritual earthquake has come to challenge me otherwise!

I love you. I’m grateful for you. I press on because of you!

Anyone close to me, knows why this reel below (in comments) would land so true for me. Over the past 5 plus years, you’ve been such an integral part of helping me find my way back to the full spirited, joyful woman I am, when I wasn’t sure I could.

I went through the fire, the full fall, deepest remorse, self loathing, guilt, shame and want to party hop in my sleep … a video of your stories about me, intended to be surprise parting gift for my boys in the future, ended up being a massive, priceless surprise gift to me in the Present; reminding me who I’ve been my whole life, not who I succumbed to on one day. So I kept going.

Your reflecting back to me who I am and an unstoppable faith .. delivered me to the door step of self forgiveness and safe haven of Grace!

I’m on a mission to support others in finding the same. Through Surprise Invite I’ll be adding so many ways to contribute to healing and happiness through celebratory life documentaries.

The sooner I raise the funds necessary for the The Blox educational boot camp and entrepreneurial reality show experience awaiting me in Tulsa this July - the sooner I can stop asking for the financial help to get there.

I’m a Wacky Wednesday mess of cotton candy colors and unicorn spirit today. I’ve tried and tried to get myself into a Derby one and it’s not possible for this one! I can’t feel excited about horses (I do 💗 them!!!) not having a say in whether their fate is euthanasia this week (not to mention all it takes for them to be “in the running “) or the increase of human trafficking that will occur this week. Lots of money that could be utilized in other ways and still benefit Louisville!

Trust me, I don’t at all like being a party pooper!Anyone who knows me though, knows I won’t pretend I’m someone I’m not or fake my way through an experience .. nor am I able to keep a point to myself if I thinks it’s worthy of questioning and conversation. 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

Regardless - I do hope ALL enjoy the gift of this Present day and freedom of choices we have. Not all do. It’s a beautiful blue sky, sun filled day and none should be taken for granted or let slip away without some smiles and joy.

June 1 will mark 16 years since Jonnae’s Celebration of Life. As these pics convey

Wacky Wednesday themed party (on a Sunday), with a theme of celebrating Heaven’s newest star

showed everyone there what’s possible in lieu of a dreadful funeral.

The journey I’ve been on to share the story and paint a picture of possibility, launch a business of services to create options for others wanting to celebrate life more then mourn death has been arduous, invaluable, FUNtastic and life changing!

I have the opportunity to take this to a national platform and amplify the dream of having a Celebration of Life event space and business into reality. I couldn’t have created that Celebration of Life without support of family, friends and community - and I certainly won’t be able to do this without the same.

I’m $400 away from making my place on the cast of an entrepreneurial reality show official. I will get to stretch myself for the next 2 months in fundraising for the rest. This will not be what I consider fun, but if I can make the conversation, expectation and experience around death and dying fun - I can certainly perceive FUNdraising as the same.

I’ve been selected to be on a reality show for entrepreneurs and super excited about the opportunities this experience will create for the growth of Surprise Invite and increased impact We GET To create!

I say WE because I get to put a 1K deposit down by the end of the week as my RSVP (pay to play with some skin in the game) I will have time to raise the rest (another 3K) before the filming begins in Tulsa, mid July.

My branding and marketing materials get response all the time which shows my degree in commercial art and graphic design is in action all these years later, even though not my main focus, as I grow Surprise Invite. That said, I’ve got some amazing opportunities a side hustle will help fund.

I can’t tell you the magnitude of magnificent surprises contained within creation and experience of this video. I could try .. but the only way you’ll find out is to gift yourself (or loved one) the experience.
