- semester GPA of 2.0
- cumulative GPA of 2.5
- must be a full time student (12 hours)

💿Latest Release - The Emptiness Machine
- Alternative/Nu-Metal
- The band was founded in 1996 by members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and former member Rob Bourdon.
- The band originally started under the name Xero, later rebranding to Hybrid Theory which would later be the name of their debut album.
- The band is best known for albums such as “Hybrid Theory” “Meteora” “Minutes to Midnight” and “LIVING THINGS” these albums dominated the alternative scene during the 2000s/2010s. This legendary run led to collaborations with artists such as Jay-Z
- In 2017 the band released their last album with lead-vocalist Chester Bennington and drummer Rob Bourdon titled “One More Light” this album took a different narrative to their old nu-metal origins. Months after the release of the album lead-vocalist Chester would later pass away.
- In 2024 the band is starting a new era with their latest album “From Zero” releasing on November 15, 2024. This era also features new additions such as lead-vocalist Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara and new drummer Colin Brittain.

KNWDs programming department is proud to present this week’s Artist of the week!! ✨

💿Artist - Fontaines D.C.
- Irish post-punk/post-hardcore outfit based out of Dublin. The band strives for sounds of alternative grunge and punk. Blending a concoction of fuzzy rock with mellifluous poetry.
- The quintet bonded over a love of Irish poets in college where the group’s first release was a double collection of poetry titled, “Vroom.”
- After a few self-released singles and Eps, the group set off on their first studio production, “Dogrel” released in 2019.
- Today, the band possesses a fair amount of mainstream success overseas, and a cult-like following here in the US.
- Their latest album, “Romance” was released in April of this year. The album charted at #1 on UK independent Albums and #97 on the Billboard 200.
