The first release was aiding Little Rock, Arkansas' File Thirteen Records put out the Thumbnail “The Sound of...” LP. Next d/a73, or Double Agent 73 as it was then known, aided in the release of the Serotonin “While I Breathe I Hope” EP. The last recording on vinyl to be released was the Harriet the Spy “God Gave Us Music and the Courage to Sing” 10” EP. Entropy sets in. The next string of records

came out in 2001, the 5 Spoonbender records. 2005 saw the label changing format, philosophy and even name (to d/a73). Contained as a website, d/a73 began distributing all of its records for free, with artists such as Clutter, Susan Matthews, Lone Logician, 1000 Aeroplanes Crashing in the Night, Syntheteque, Sideways and Sugar, Faun, Taihen Ziko and The Sony AllStar. Present Day: d/a73 imprint is reconstituted with its back catalog, and, just as importantly, new artists such as Wave Shaper, Luciano Parra and more to be announced. Someday, entropy will set in again. This year marks the 20th anniversary of d/a73, from a tiny zine made in Colorado Springs, Colorado to, um, me sitting here at a computer in Nashville, Tennessee. d/a73 is a thread throughout my life, a source of great friendships and memories. I hope you enjoy the recordings. David Wright LaGrone
