He began expressing his love of music at age twelve when he started playing the guitar. He moved south to attend college at Middle Tennessee State University. There he earned a Recording Industry Management B.S. degree with an emphasis on Production and Technology. His professional audio engineering career started in 1996 at Seismic Sound, a reputable audio post-production studio in Nashville, whe
re he specialized in audio mixing and sound design for dramatic and music-oriented television programs, commercials, documentaries, music videos, and concert films. The scope of work also included commercial spot sound design, music videos, and ADR/foley for local independent films and national television programs. In 2002, in addition to his post-production work, he incorporated a broad range of freelance work. He has experience with a variety of sound production projects that include: TV/radio spots, media tours for artists, VO sessions and “live” music performance tapings for XM radio and BBC Radio 2. Additionally, he has worked as the Lead “A1” for numerous long form award show and music performance televised broadcasts responsible for the recording and mixing of those events in remote production facilities and post mixing them for broadcast. He has also had the privilege of doing the production mixes for the live TV broadcasts of the Grand Ole Opry and worked at GAC studios as the lead audio mixer. He has mixed and created sound design audio for the Tennessee Titans Jumbotron, edited and mixed for the CMT post-production department and has continued to do audience “sweetening” for numerous live awards shows and events around the country. He has most recently mixed episodic shows for HGTV and TLC and done post mixing for PBS, Bounce TV, and CBS. He also recently mixed a documentary film for the Toronto film festival. Pulse Post Audio opened its doors in downtown Nashville in 2013.
