AVJ Records, working alongside the multi-platinum Average Joes Entertainment, is the Nashville-based home for up-and-coming artists in the worlds of pop, EDM and rap. President and CEO, Shannon Houchins began his career in the 1990’s as a music producer eventually becoming a staff producer/writer for Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Productions working with acts like TLC, Usher, and Jagged Edge, to name

a few. Successfully developing Average Joes Entertainment into a national story, selling in excess of 3 million albums, 4 million singles, over 1 million concert tickets, nominated for numerous industry awards, featured in such major media outlets as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, and most recently executive produced Viacom's hit scripted show in 2016 (CMT’s "Still The King”), Houchins has naturally come full circle, musically, now steering efforts towards AVJ Records. Working to showcase new artists such as Atlanta’s own DJ KO, Seattle-based rapper/singer, Bingx, and powerhouse singer, Rizzi Myers, AVJ Records, together with Average Joes Entertainment, intends to bring the rarest of talent into mainstream music.
