Unfortunately, the legal status of THCa in Tennessee is changing in 3 months! The Department of Agriculture has posted their Final Rules, and they limit H**p Derived Cannabinoid (HDC) Products containing THCa to 5% or less. These rules go into effect this December 26th, 2024.

Before that "Under Tennessee, you can sell it, though. That's the way that it's been since 2022. You can't grow it, but you can sell it."

"The state of Tennessee has to realize that if they shut down this program, all those customers that started coming to us are all going to go right back to the black market,"
ALREADY IN EFFECT

A 6% sales tax (on top of the state's 7% sales tax) has already been in effect for h**p-derived products.

So far, that tax has generated a little more than $10 million since July 2023, according to data from the state's revenue department.

The department will start enforcing compliance with the tax now that the agriculture rules are in effect, a spokesperson said previously.

"80% of our sales are the THCA concentrates or flower," Blais said. "There's people coming in for very specific things they're looking for, but for the most part we are more of a recreational style shop, so we get more of those customers."
