As a staff songwriter for a publishing company, he co-wrote 8 of the songs on Eric’s project. Without the money to hire a full promotion team to service Beddingfield’s recordings, he took this role upon himself. Earning 5 consecutive top 20 singles on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart, making him the most played independent artist in the history of that chart. This success led to Beddingfield be
ing named The Independent Artist of The Year for 2012 by MusicRow Magazine. Also, Randy was instrumental in gaining airplay for the video, “The Gospel According To Jones” on CMT, GAC and The Country Network. Barber was involved in every aspect of Beddingfield’s career… from booking and advancing shows, assisting in securing Eric’s debut appearance on the Grand Ol’ Opry, tour management, merchandising to advising on practically every major decision while Eric was performing over 150 shows per year. In early 2013, Randy was contracted by Sidewalk Records (Imprint of Curb Records) to oversee their Secondary Market promotions. While there he worked hands on with Dylan Scott, Morgan Frazier and Tim Dugger. After a little over a year, Randy left the label to start his own private promotion and consulting firm, BarFrog Music. Since that time, he has grown his company and consistently works with some of the finest independent artists in the industry: such as Amber Hayes, Tyler Hammond and Williams Honor. He oversees several different aspects of development for his artists depending on their individual needs, from radio promotion, music production, management to career strategy. Randy continues to show his passion for music as he recently finished production on an animated children’s series, “The BarFrog’s.”
