RICHARD TREST - I coulda gone Fishing yesterday but instead I spent part of the day working with one on my Favorite Songwriters here in Nashville, Richard Trest. If you love Honest and Heartfelt Songs that tell great stories and that you'll be singing along with by the end of the song, then you'll LOVE Richard's Songs. We spent a few hours going through his catalog listening to recordings and making sure the Lyric Sheets all matched the recordings. Yeah, it's just "Busy Work" that needs to be done from time-to-time behind the scenes to keep things properly organized. Songwriters like to "Write Songs" not manage catalogs and after we did a little house keeping we looked at a song that we wrote together called SO YOU WANNA BE A FARMER . We recorded a little work-tape of it and I'm gonna write-up a Nashville Number Chart and rehearse it with Richard next week and hopefully we can record a little Demo at Big Tent to share with all our friends.

Hannah is just finishing-up here Senior Year at Belmont University and has a million things going on in her life but somehow she still manages to find the time to stop by and Co-Write new songs at Big Tent.

COUNTRY SONG BANNED FROM TIK TOK

What do Moon Pies, Moonshine, Colonel Sanders Neckties, Famous Amos, Jerry Reed, Sippin Whiskey and Piggly Wiggly all have in common? They’re all Southern staples mentioned in the lyrics of Cody Walden’s new song DIXIE.

DIXIE was banned from TikTok after only 5 days and two videos. The videos posted during those five days featured footage of Walden, a Hinesville, GA native, in camouflage overalls wearing a Georgia Bulldogs hat feeding his chickens, cutting his grass, welding up some metal and leaning on the tailgate of his truck while his song DIXIE played as the Soundtrack.
