One question, an immediate YES! and a whole new life was born.✨

That yes led me to spent the next decade doing something I came to love— Sailing around the world.

From remote Indonesian islands, whale-watching on the Na Pali Coast of Kauai or rubbing elbows with the rich and famous in the private yacht world, the journey is more magical than that 20-year old Kim could have imagined when leaving on that 1-way ticket all those years ago.

The truth is, I feel most alive when exploring new places. I love the unknown of day to day life when I’m on an adventure.

Tbh, I’ve never been one to follow the “expected” path

Fun fact, I’m now in my 40s and I’ve never had a 9-5 job. I know some people find great success with that path, it’s just not for me.

Travel gives me the space to explore both inside and out.

And strangers can end up being the biggest source of inspiration in the down moments

Life truly is a journey. We only get this one shot, in this one body, in this time

Is it just me or do you feel this way, too?

It can take a while to realise the gift of understanding that a trip offers. It could be weeks or months later.

The understanding might come through a conversation or a simple moment of reflection.

Travel allows me to see more deeply into the person I am and has helped shape me unlike anything else I’ve expereinced.

Well, except maybe parenting. 🤣

I feel alive and life feels fresh when I’m exploring and the shift in persepctive that offers is a gift I always cherish.
