“This song moves me, scares me, and reassures my faith all within four minutes. When we were ready to record this song, my producer Will McSeveney and myself knew we needed additional creative elements to convey the message and take this song to another level. We did just that. The instrumentation behind the lyrics adds flavor and character to the song, evidenced by the fiddled mimic of a snake sound in the intro. Zach Top’s harmony lines throughout add such a haunting flavor to the lyrics. The song finishes off with a powerful three part harmony with Dani Flowers, not used in the first half of the song, that enhance the lyrics when discussing the power of turning to Jesus can save your soul. I am so incredibly proud of this song.”
