WVTV-26 (The announcements) is the sole television station for Welsh Valley Middle School. The stations teacher is Mr.Brockman. The tech crew includes 8th graders Sinca, and Tyler Shonrock. 7th graders include Harper Lyon, Yohonn, Alex Gillen, and Reporter in the field Ricky “Reports” Sayer. 6th grade trainees are Portia M and Will. Recurring segments occur on Monday when Mr.Eveslage presents the
Dragon Pride Award to students who have done some act of good within the school. The other recurring segment is Ricky Reports. A 1 minute video of Ricky reporting on something going on in or around school. Rickys video are made and edited on his Ipod Touch using Imovie for the Ipod and Iphone. The TV station was built in 2006 with money from a grant to the schools TSA. Recurring anchors are 8th graders Bitty Soloff and Carly. Backup anchors are Tyler and Harper. In 2012 the tech crew was criticized for putting Ponys on the background of the announcements this did not stop us (the tech crew) from putting them on. 85% of the tech crew are Bronys that’s 6 out of 7. The equipment used to make the announcements happen are a sound board, a Tricaster and Microsoft Power Point, along with cameras, a green screen, a teleprompter and other stuff.
