Built for the deified emperor (r. 117–138), the Temple of Hadrian once stood proudly near the Pantheon in the Campus Martius. Today, its remains form part of Rome’s Chamber of Commerce. Once ringed by porticoes with sculpted provinces and military trophies, its decorative panels now live in museums across Italy—including the Capitoline, Palazzo Massimo, and Naples.
