The upcoming self-titled Cut Worms album finds singer-songwriter Max Clarke with perhaps his most realized vision for this project yet. As his first release in three years, Clarke offers nine new songs pulling influneces from The Beach Boys vocal harmonies, Carole King pop sensibilities, and even later era Bob Dylan. 'Time Out of Mine' (1997) in particular signifies a rebirth for Dylan as an artist, attaining a new sense of musical identity later in his career. In 1982 Bruce Springsteen boldly released 'Nebraska', a collection of 4-track recordings in the form of minimalist, gothic Americana following the commercial success of his double album 'The River'. Springsteen was vocal in his support for the New York City-based no wave duo Su***de - Band and successfully channeled this influence on the album through songs like "Johnny 99" and "State Trooper".
