Harold Hunter Day is under way! If you are anywhere close, make a beeline to one of these events as a stellar time is guaranteed for all. Yup - that's my photo. Let's DO THIS!!! Happy 50th Haroldl!

Harold Hunter would have turned 50 this year - a highly unique personality, skating legend, New York City icon and Actor (most notably in Larry Clark’s KIDS in 1995). He was also sponsored by Zoo York, shot campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger and was part of the OG Supreme crew (with fellow actor Justin Pierce) that helped spark a generational cultural shift. A New Yorker through and through he had a deep passion for the city he grew up in and an especially close affiliation with the Twin Towers that he was often photographed against in those early days, so deep was this passion Hunter got a tattoo of the pre 911 New York skyline on his left arm with a skateboarder in unison. Harold passed away tragically early in February 2006 at just 31 years of age. However his legacy remains and grows from strength to strength year on year. Moreover the seeks to use skateboarding as a vehicle to keep kids occupied and active on often dangerous streets. RIP Harold Hunter (1974-2006)

These contest results from 1979 just in from Tom France: n the picture you have (on the FB homepage I'm announcing the results by reading these very sheets! However, they are only partial results for the day like freestyle, 360s, and one-wheelers. 0-13 and 14 and up. We totalled up the scores and came up with overall results. I think We totalled up the scores and came up with overall results. I think Joe Humeres, age 14 (first skate Pro in NYC in late '80s), almost took the overall win but finished 2nd.
