What an awesome weekend!!!!

It's crowds like this that make my job SOOOO much fun!

This wedding ended up being a really long day for me (Woke up at 5am, left Nampa at 7am, drove almost 6 hours to Peck Idaho, set up and then did a 7 hour wedding ending at what would have been 11:30 our time) but this crowd had so much energy that they kept me rocking all night!

I love my job! Stay tuned for a handful of highlights reels I've gotta get caught up on (including this amazing wedding!)

One of my favorite parts of my job is that it allows me to travel and celebrate with my clients in some amazing places!

Last night, I got to do a ceremony at Kathryn Albertsons park and a reception at the Boise zoo (I never knew you could have a wedding there! )

Today, I get to head to northern Idaho to celebrate in a little town called Peck (just outside of Orofino)

The picture is part of the drive through scenic Hells Canyon.

I love my job!!!!!

Dance floor is getting stained today! Should get a bit lighter as the stain dries. I went with what is called "weathered oak". It's lighter than the previous look but just a few shades darker than the bare wood. Stain will dry for a few days, then a heavy duty polyurethane sealer and it will be ready to party!

Ok everyone, need some opinions here.

I am refinishing my new dance floor and am at the stage of deciding a stain.

Would you try to get back to the more common, darker oak look like the first picture or would you add a lighter stain and try to keep them a bit lighter like the 2nd picture?

3rd picture shows both side by side. Keep in mind, the darker ones have lots of scuffs and scratches so they don't look as good as they will finished (why I am refinishing them) but I'm mainly curious about the color.

Or, should I go for a super dark look like the last picture?

Either way will have a semi gloss polyurethane finish but once the finish goes on, there is no changing the color without re-sanding the entire thing.

Infinity Entertainment is considering hiring a helper for our mobile DJ business.

This position would be primarily set up and tear down of equipment at various events but has the possibility of a greater involvement for someone who is interested in weddings and/or DJing. Lifting and moving of equipment weighing up to 75lbs will be necessary.

Dependability is absolutely paramount! Own transportation is preferred however, we will consider someone who needs transportation and can discuss options.

The majority of our events happen from April to October and in most cases, on Saturday and Sunday. Most are located within the Treasure Valley however, we do travel. Out of town events will not be mandatory but the possibility of you joining can be discussed.

This would be perfect for someone in highschool or college or someone who is interested in getting into the wedding or mobile DJ business but isn't sure where to start.

Compensation to be discussed but will be very reasonable for the 2-3 hours max at each event.

Lets talk music!

That's why you hire a wedding DJ right? Well, partially yes, but that is a discussion for another day ;)

On the topic of music however, I often get asked, "how do we choose our songs and music for our wedding day".

Well, with Infinity Entertainment, you can be as involved, or uninvolved in the music selection process as you would like. Here's what I mean by that........

Obviously, we want you to pick your special songs. Ceremony processional and recessional, first dances, etc. Those should be the songs that truly have meaning and importance to you and your loved ones. After that, the choice is yours! If you are a huge music buff who has their top 200 songs on a Spotify playlist and that is exactly what you want played.......we've got you covered. We will take that list and make sure we have every one of those songs ready to go. We can't promise if you have 200 songs that we will be able to play them all but we will do our best ;)

If however, you are the opposite and simply don't want to worry about the hassle of choosing every song, no problem at all! You can simply tell us the genre, styles or a few artists you'd like and we will do the rest. Using that information, along with the songs you have chosen for your special events, we will create fully custom playlists for you and your wedding! It really can be as simple as saying, we like country, classic rock and some top 40/hip hop for dancing, and we will do the rest.

We have years of experience as a wedding DJ and know how to pick the perfect songs to set the mood for guest arrival, cocktail hour, dinner, and then, create a killer dance party if that is what you are going for. (Feel free to check out some of our reviews about us packing the dance floor!)

Our goal is to make your wedding exactly that, YOUR wedding and we want to make it as easy and stress free as possible for you.

Brides and Bridesmaids!!!

As a seasoned wedding vendor with countless celebrations under my belt, I've witnessed the whirlwind of emotions, the unexpected mishaps, and the sheer joy that accompanies every bride and her entourage on their big day. Amidst the chaos and excitement, one thing remains constant: preparation is key.

While being a DJ usually doesn't involve me having much to do behind the scenes, anyone who has worked with me knows that I am the type of person that likes to be prepared for anything! Having worked with some amazing clients and standing side
by side with some of the best coordinators Idaho has to offer, I'd like to think I've seen, heard about or been a part of a thing or 2 when it comes to weddings. :)

Let's face it, no matter how meticulously you plan, there's always the possibility of last-minute emergencies. That's where the trusty emergency kit comes in. Here is my take on some of the must-have items for any bride and bridesmaid that will save the day:

First, The Emergency Kit!

1. Mini Sewing Kit: From loose buttons to torn hems, a sewing kit will come to the rescue for any wardrobe malfunctions.

2. Stain Remover Wipes: Because spills happen, especially when you're dressed to the nines. Keep these on hand to tackle any pesky stains that threaten to ruin your outfit.

3. Pain Relievers: Whether it's a headache or a blister from those killer heels, a few pain relievers will ensure you stay comfortable throughout the day.

4. Breath Mints or Gum: Fresh breath is non-negotiable, especially when you're exchanging vows and mingling with guests.

5. Snacks and Water: Nerves and excitement can take a toll on your energy levels. Keep some light snacks and water on hand to stay nourished and hydrated.

6. Tissues: For happy tears and any unexpected emotional moments, you'll be glad to have tissues within reach.

7. Hairpins and Hair Spray: Keep your hairstyle in place with extra hairpins and a travel-sized hairspray for touch-ups.

8. Clear Nail Polish: A versatile solution for fixing chipped nails, securing loose jewelry, or preventing runs in stockings.

9. Blister Balm or Band-Aids: Comfort is key when you're on your feet all day. Prevent blisters and soothe sore spots with blister balm or adhesive bandages.

10. Safety Pins: A quick fix for wardrobe malfunctions or securing loose decorations.

11. Phone Charger: Don't let a dead battery leave you disconnected. Keep a phone charger handy to stay powered up throughout the day.

12. Stress-relief Essentials: Whether it's a calming essential oil roller or a stress ball, having something to help you relax and unwind can make all the difference.

In addition to the emergency kit, there are a few other essential items that every bride and her bridesmaids should have on hand to ensure a seamless wedding day experience:
1. Touch-up Makeup Kit: A compact mirror, lipstick, powder, and blotting papers will keep you looking fresh and flawless from ceremony to reception.

2. Comfortable Shoes: While those towering heels may look stunning, having a pair of comfortable flats or sandals on standby will save your feet during the dancing portion of the evening.

3. Extra Copies of Important Documents: From vendor contracts to marriage licenses, having extra copies of important documents on hand can provide peace of mind in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

Grooms!!!! This post is for you.

I know a lot of of you aren't too involved in the planning process for your wedding day. You have left the design, music choices, flowers, layout and pretty much everything else up to your fiancé because you know how important it is for them to have their dream wedding.

Well, here is something that is very important for YOU to make a choice about. Your dance song with your mother.

I know, it can be kind of cheesy and maybe a little embarrassing having to dance with your mom but guys, I promise you, this is a BIG deal to her. She is giving you away just as much as your brides father is giving her away.

So, just like all of the other special dances, its important to pick a song that means something to you and her. Here is a key piece of advice....... IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE A SLOW SONG! ;)

Maybe you and your mom had a song you danced to in the yard together when you were a kid. Maybe it was a song you sang in the car whenever she would take you to one of your practices. Or maybe, its just a group or song that you both know every word to and belt out any time its on the radio (Bohemian Rhapsody anyone?). The point being, it doesn't have to be a sappy, love song. Have fun with it!

So, here is my list of the 5 most common (from my experience) mother/son dance songs. Again though, have fun with it and pick something unique!

I've been wanting to do something super fun and give back at the same time, so, here is what I've come up with.

For those of you who don't know me, I have 3 pets I love to death. Jack, my 2 yr old GSP, Dayzee, my 8 year old Polish Hound and Harold, my 10 year old cat.

I know that for most of us, our pets are just like our children and we would do anything for them.

So, because our pets are a huge part of our life, I decided to add a page to my website called "Puppy Love"! This will be a page where, with their permission, I will share pictures of my couples pets (hopefully, with some of them as a part of the wedding!)

For each client who shares a couple pictures of their pet and allows me to post them on my website, Infinity Entertainment will donate a bag of dog or cat food to the local shelter of their choice.

Past, present and future clients are all welcome to take part in this! Fellow vendors, you can join in as well!

Lets show your furry family members and help give back at the same time!

As a DJ, I have a lot of clients who have a hard time picking songs for their special dances.

The first thing I always tell them is this......find a song that has meaning to you and the person you are dancing with. It could be a song your dad used to sing to you to help you go to bed, a song you sang in the car with your mom while you were driving to football practice or the song you first danced to with your partner at your high school prom.

At the end of the day, this is your wedding and you want it to be filled with special moments that have, and will continue to make memories you will cherish forever.

If you are still struggling to find that perfect song, ask your DJ! They should be more than willing to either provide a list or give you some ideas for popular wedding songs.
