Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

My rolls might have been a little sad and not nearly as good as last years (or my Grandpa’s), but everything else was on point. Sam’s Brownie Walnut Pie was PERFECT.

We also discovered the “citrus” tree in our yard produces tangerines??? That’s what we think they are at least.

Overall, it was a much-needed relaxing, peaceful day at home ❤️

Life Lately:

- Sam and I binged watched season 3 of Lincoln Laywer, and it was just as good as the first two!

-I started reading Horse by Geraldine Brooks for my book club with Mom. While we agree it's beautifully written and intriguing, we've been slow to work through it. So I took a pause and picked up My Roommate Is A Vampire by Jenna Levine, and I LOVE IT. It's like if Pride & Prejudice, especially Mr. Darcy, was set in modern society. Oh, and if there were vampires.

-The crockpot is now out on my kitchen counter permanently, and, as always, tomato soup was first on the list of soups to make! My favorite recipe is from Le Creme da la Crumb, and it's a slow cooker tomato basil parmesan soup.

Meals on Wheels of Horry & Georgetown County, Inc is a wonderful group to support. I've gotten to know more about them and their mission and their volunteers over the years, and I know they could really use the extra support. Every year, their family of "grandparents" increases exponentially, and it takes a lot of time, resources and food to prep and deliver those meals and provide fellowship ❤️
