Yesterday was the public's grand opening for the Muskegon Museum of Art's brand new Bennett-Schmidt Pavilion and opening of "Transcending Tradition": a selection of works from the Bennett Collection of Women Realists, which will be open until May 11. We explored the new galleries with new artwork and old, education studios, a new gift shop, and so much more- we ran out of time. I'm excited to see an the new reoccurring events and classes you can take there. Super Saturday is the second Saturday of every month. There's free general admission to the Museum’s galleries and a FREE kids STEAM activity. Each Super Saturday is inspired by a piece of art from the MMA permanent collection or a current exhibition.

Go See Artios Academy's "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" this weekend at Central Park Place. Edward is a stuffed rabbit who looses his girl, but finds many companions through different stages of his life. He discovers how it feels to be alone, worried, afraid, and uncertain of what will be. He also learns what it means to really fall in love.
