When you have a team of great musicians you accept that everyone has busy lives and and is involved in multiple projects (me also).

Last evening we went to the Rib Fest in Grand Haven to watch U’Neek Soul bring in da funk. They did not disappoint and delivered!

Three members of this band also appear in and help support our Rhythm Is Gonna Get You show.

Rehearsing and promoting two very different shows is not a task for the faint hearted. I don’t do it alone and wouldn’t ever dream that I could. It takes an incredible team of musicians and others.

We are very busy preparing the launch of our new show ‘The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You’ in addition to our original‘The Neil Diamond Legacy’ show. However I am going to take a moment to give a shout out to the team on these two great projects. They represent some of finest musicians in the area and in addition lead their own projects/bands that you see out there working hard:

Hi friends,

As you know we have a great Neil Diamond show and we feel the love and support from Neil’s fans. Many fans are on the various Neil Diamond fan sites also.

We are fans too and want to pass on a note of caution to you. Neil Diamond is NOT participating in any fan sites. People are impersonating him on line and sending what looks like personal messages directing you to various apps and private sites with the intention of getting you to reveal private information to steal your identity or ask you to send money. Neil is a wealthy man and doesn’t need contributions and he is enjoying life in retirement with his family and friends, not seeking out online friends. Don’t be fooled and stay safe!

Help wanted: help our team grow!

A small but growing entertainment company currently offering two different shows is seeking someone to fill a part time role as stage manager. This is for shows in 2024 and already a few on the books for 2025. Music or theater experience with lighting, video, etc is helpful but not required and a person with the right attitude can be trained. Good gig for a part time musician, college student or someone seeking to learn more about the theatrical side of producing shows. Age, s*x, etc is irrelevant as attitude and ability to ‘play nice with others on a team’ is critical. The right person will hopefully also bring their own new ideas to eventually help improve upon what we do.

What will you do?
You will help load in gear (some lifting under 35 pounds with most gear on wheels) and help setup the stage. This is often done several hours before a show. During the show you will control lighting scenes and video that will be pre established. After the show, load out. Also working with me as an assistant on show days and possibly show preparation in advance if needed and with the show team to help make every show successful.

In truth, it is not glamorous. It’s a long day and hard, but fun work typically starting early in the day and ending very late. Shows are largely on weekends, but could also be on a Friday or weekday as well so having some ‘day job’ flexibility would be helpful. At peak, it’s probably only 1-2 days per month and dates are known well in advance so you can plan. This allows for other jobs, education, other projects, having a life, etc.

You will have to attend some rehearsals in Muskegon to learn the show and setup. This is mandatory.

Pay is negotiable and it largely depends on the person selected. If you are interested, email me at [email protected] and tell me why you would be a good fit.

Not trying to sound rude at all but I am not going to respond to public post comments asking “what does it pay?” as an introductory question. The pay will be sufficient and discussed only with interested candidates.

We are pleased to announce an all new show joining The Neil Diamond Legacy in our entertainment lineup. Currently in rehearsal, ‘The Rhyhm Is Gonna Get You’ will be available starting in spring 2024.

This show is a high energy concert of the classic Rhythm-driven hits you love. Featuring songs by Miami Sound Machine, Toto, Phil Collins, Steely Dan, Motown Hits and more. This show is “Mucho Caliente” and when you see it, one thing is for certain, The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You!
