A couple of weeks ago we installed a new Projection System at Russellville Middle School in their Gym. This system features 2 8000-Lumen WUXGA 3LCD Panasonic Projectors as well as 2 12’ wide DaLite Electric Screens. We would like to thank Tony Bonds and Russellville City Schools for trusting us with this installation and their technology upgrades.

Recently, we helped our friends at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Florence with some long overdue A/V Upgrades. Their previous system was installed about 20 years ago and had definitely reached its end of life. We installed an Allen and Heath QU-16 Digital Audio Console, JBL fill Speakers to help supplement the center cluster, and Crown Amplifiers for Mains and Monitors. We also repaired the existing 70V ceiling speaker system, which required new volume controls, and a new JBL Commercial Series 70V Amp. Sennheiser wireless mics were also installed. We provided the church with JBL floor monitors for the stage. These were a big upgrade from what they had before. Another big portion of this job was focused on improving the livestream elements and broadcast. We installed a new computer and 2 PTZ Optics 4K Move Cameras to assist with this. Recently, we completed an install for The City of Iuka MS. This is a project that’s been in the works for about a year. We designed and installed a sound system that spans two city blocks. The goal was to evenly distribute the City’s Main Street and Jaybird Park with Music, and the ability to also have a wireless mic for announcements, and also the ability to plug in a live band to disperse their music throughout if needed. The system consists of 20 JBL Control Series Outdoor Rated Speakers,
A crown CDI 2000 for amplification and processing, Over 3000’ of West Penn Speaker Wire, a Denon DN-312X 12 Channel Rack Mixer, a Sennheiser EW-D 835 Handheld Wireless System, A Furman Power Conditioner, and a Navepoint 8 Space Weatherproof Climate Controlled Security Enclosure. Friday, we were happy to provide staging for the Graduating Central High School Class of 2024. We provided 6 - 4 X 8 Decks and 2 adjustable stair units. Thank you Central High School for trusting us with once again your staging needs.
Sunday, we had the honor to provide Audio and Lighting Solutions for the “Remembering our Veterans” Concert at River Heritage Park in Florence. We provided 8 JBL SRX 906 Line Array Elements, 4 JBL SRX 928 Dual 18” Subwoofers, 5 JBL SRX 812P Monitors, 5 Sennheiser Wireless Handheld Mics, our Standard Festival Mic Kit, A Midas M32 Digital Console W/ DL 32 Stage Box, our Custom Alley Cat Power Distro for Power Distribution, and 8 RGBW LED Pars on 16’ Crank Trees. Last Saturday, we had the pleasure to provide Sound & Lighting at Shoals Community Theatre for The Pine Hill Haints/Secret Sisters Concert. For Sound, we provided 7 JBL SRX 812p Monitor Speakers, a JBL SRX DRUM Sub, full Mic Kit, and a FOH Engineer. These additions paired with the theatre’s upgraded audio system, which we did last year, allowed the Sound Engineer to create an evening of euphonious acoustics for the audiences enjoyment. For Lighting, we provided 4 Elation SixBar 1000’s, a Base Hazer Pro, and a Grand MA2 Lite. We brought out the Theatre’s 8 Chauvet Rougue RX-1 Moving Heads as well. Our LD did a great job painting these beautiful images in light. Thank you Steve Price and The Shoals Community Theatre for trusting us with your event.

Last weekend we also had the pleasure to provide Sound, Lighting, and Scenic Projection for Deshler Performing Arts production of The Little Mermaid Jr. For Sound, we provided a Midas M-32R audio console, 12 channels of Sennheiser Wireless and 4 Rode M-5 Condenser Mics. For Lighting, we provided 4 Vizi CMY300’s, 8 RGBW LED Pars, an Opto Splitter, a Base Hazer, and control from a Grand MA Command Wing. For Scenic Projection, We provided 2 Panasonic 6K Laser Projectors, Stacked as well as a Computer for Content Playback. This weekend we also provided Sound, Lighting, and Scenic Projections for Russellville Middle School’s production of Aladdin Kids. For Sound,
we provided 13 Channels of Sennheiser Wireless, a 24 channel audio snake, and a wireless intercom system for Backstage/FOH Communication. For Lighting, we provided 8 Vari-Lite VL 3000 Spots, 4 Vizi CMY 300, 4 SixBar 1000’s, a Base Hazer Pro, and a Grand MA for Control. For Scenic Projection, we provided 2 of our 9K 3 Chip Panasonic Laser Projectors, Stacked overlapping the image seamlessly doubling the output. Also, we provided a computer for graphic playback. This weekend we provided audio and lighting solutions to the wonderful folks at Dekalb County Fine Arts Theatre for their production of The Lion King Jr. For lighting we provided 8 Encore Profile Warm White Ellipsoidal fixtures, 6 Vizi CMY 300 Moving Heads, 12 RGBW LED Pars, 7 SixBar 1000 LED Bars, and a Grand MA Command Wing for Control. For Sound we provided 2 QSC KW-153 Mains, 2 QSC KS-118 Subwoofers, 2 QSC K-12’s for monitors, a Midas M-32 Digital Audio Console and a Midas DL-32 Stage box on stage. This past week we were happy to help the wonderful people over at St James Methodist Church by completing a major Audio Upgrade for them in their Main Sanctuary. This project has been in the making for over a year. We installed 2 JBL SR 812P for Mains, locating them recessed in their organ speaker enclosures for aesthetic purposes. We also installed 2 JBL SRX 818SP 18” Subwoofers, also located in the organ speaker enclosures. We also installed a Furman Power Sequencer for remote power up and shutdown. Thank you Jimmy Oliver and the entire team at St James Methodist for putting your trust in Axis for these system upgrades.
This week we were happy to help the wonderful folks over at W.C. Handy School with the installation of a new sound system in their Gym. We replaced the existing non-functional speakers with New JBL AC-266’s, powered by a Crown CDI2000, with a Rolls RM-67 Rack Mixer for control with a remote volume wall plate. We also added a Sennheiser EW-D wireless ME-2 Lapel System. All gear is securely mounted in a Middle Atlantic Pivoting Wall Rack. For Scenic Projection, we provided 2 of our 9k Panasonic 3 Chip Laser Projectors, Stacked overlapping the image seamlessly doubling the output. Also we provided a computer for Graphic playback. Last Friday Night, we had the pleasure to provide Audio, Lighting, and Video Support for my Alma Mater, Mars Hill Bible School’s 39th Annual Benefit Dinner featuring Tim Tebow. We provided Audio, Video, and Lighting in the Main Room, as well as our premium string lights thru out. We also provided Audio and Video in the Overflow Room. For audio we used our new JBL SRX812P powered speakers for mains, JBL SRX 928’s for Subs, a Midas M-32 Console and Midas DL-32 Digital Stage Box. Sennheiser Wireless of course, and QSC KW153 Mains with QSC KS-118 Subs in the Oberflow Room. For Video, in the Main Room we used or new 10K Panasonic Projectors for the front and a Panasonic 6K for the Rear Screen. We used another Panasonic 6K for the Overflow Room. For switching we used our Roland Switcher. For Lighting, we used 8 Vizi CMY 300’s, over 50 LED Pars of various styles, 15 Elation SixBar 1000’s, 2 Base Hazers, and over 1,200 linear of feet of our premium string lights, and a Grand MA Command Wing for Seamless Control. This past Friday, we were on site at Russellville High School for the Miss RHS Pagent. We provided Sennheiser Wireless Systems for the contestants use, a Midas DL32 Digital Snake, and a Wireless Intercom System for our Technical Staff. Thank you to Lauren Wallace and Kellie Singleton for putting your trust in Axis by letting us provide our services for your event.
This past weekend we had the privilege of providing Audio, Lighting, and Scenic Projection Support for Mars Hill Bible Schools Middle School production of Frozen Jr. For Audio, we provided or Midas M-32 Digital Audio Console and 12 Sennheiser Wireless Wireless Headset Mics. We also suspended 6 choir mics for the actors/actresses that were not mic’d. For Lighting, we provided 4 of our new ADJ Jolt 300 high output LED’s, and a High End Systems Road Hog for Control. These lighting additions integrated with the house system created some beautiful looks onstage. For Scenic Projection, we used 2 of our New 10K Panasonic Projectors, and we stacked them doubling our output to 20K Lumens. We also provided a computer for graphic playback. Lastly, you can’t do Frozen without Snow…so we provided 2 of our SE-Snow 100 High Velocity Snow machines to handle the job flawlessly. We Wrapped up another Install for Yellowhammer Roofing in Athens, AL last week. They bought and renovated a 20,000 Sq Ft office building, and reached out to us for their Sales Room Audio System, 8 Zone Paging System, Projectors and Screens, Hanging and mounting of their 15+ TV’s, and to wire their Computer Network Backbone with over 175 Home Run CAT 6 lines. We added up all the wire we pulled in this building and if you stretched it end to end your looking at over 4 Miles of Cable. For equipment we chose 38 JBL Pendent Speakers, Atlas Atmosphere for the Paging system processor, All Crown Amplification, Vivitek Projectors, DaLite Screens, Sennheiser Wireless, and a Yamaha audio console. Thank you Will Jones and Scarlett Frost for always having the information available when we needed it. We sincerely appreciate your business. We look forward to doing business with you in the future.
We spent a good bit of time around the Christmas holiday at Rogers High School- Florence, Alabama installing several upgrades to their A/V Systems. In the Gym, we installed 6 JBL point source speakers, powered by Crown, a Midas M Air Series Stage Rack, Furman power conditioning, and a Sennheiser wireless mic. The Bandroom got 2 JBL point source speakers powered by Crown. The Cafeteria got a new Sony 6K Laser Projector, and a Midas M Air Series Stage Rack. Thursday night we had the pleasure of providing Audio and Lighting support for The Paul Thorn band at The Shoals Community Theatre. Paul Thorn is a true entrainer. His stories kept the crowd entertained all night long. His band is amazing as well. Thank you Shoals Community Theatre for putting your trust in Axis to handle production for your event.
What a busy weekend. We were happy to provide Audio and Lighting Support for A Muscle Shoals Soul Christmas featuring Mike Farris at at The Shoals Community Theatre. We provided 7 JBL SRX 812SP Monitors, 4 QSC K12 Monitors, a Midas M-32 for a Monitor Desk, 5 Sennheiser EW100 G4 Hand Held Wireless Mics, and a slew of Mics, Mic Stands and Cables. Thus equipment used in conjunction with the new JBL Line array we installed earlier this year, created an amazing acoustical environment for everyone both in the audience and onstage. For Lighting, we primarily used the Theatre’s house system, placing the theaters moving lights out on stage were we could. We added a Base Hazer and we used our Grand MA Command Wing for Control. The show was amazing. This band is high energy and full of excitement. They had the audience up and dancing all night long. Thank you Shoals Community Theatre and Muscle Shoals Music Association for putting your trust in Axis to handle Production for this wonderful event that truly brought Christmas Spirit to the Shoals!

We provided 8 300 Watt LED Moving Head Hybrid fixtures, 4 ADJ Jolt 300 LED Strobe/Wash, 2 ADJ Fog Furry Jets, 1 Base Hazer, all controlled by Grand MA2. For Sound we used 2 JBL SRX 812SP for Mains, 2 QSC K-12’s for Monitors and 12 Sennheiser EW-100 G4 Wireless Headset Mics. We also provided a six station wireless intercom system. A special thanks to Hillary M Hall for putting your trust in Axis once again for your amazing production.
The Christmas rush is upon us! This weekend we were happy to assist Dekalb County Fine Arts Theatre in their opening weekend of “Elf The Musical”. For lighting we provided 8 RGBW LED Pars perched atop our Applied Electronics L-16 Crank Lifts, 8 Elation Six Bar 1000, 4 Snow Machines, and a Road Hog for Control. For Sound, we provided 4 QSC KW-153 Mains, 4 QSC KS-118 Subwoofers, 24x4 Audio Snake, 2 QSC K-12’a for Monitors, and a Midas M-32 for Control. This program is all Student Ran as far as operators for the show, which is an amazing accomplishment. We would like to thank Madison Adams Hagler for reaching out and trusting us to provide equipment for your production. There’s still two more chances to catch this show before it closes next weekend.

We have recently finished up a Pixel Mapped LED Lighting Install on JoeBabies Carwash in Russellville, AL. This install features over 10,000 RGB LED pixel nodes mounted in various linear and vertical strips outlining the building.  The interior tunnel is also lined down the sides creating stunning chase effects while going through the wash. LEDs are fed through a computer software program with a scheduler so there’s really no day to day actions required.  It all happens magically by itself.
