From a very young age I have wanted to change the world. I have wanted to make it a better place. I use to think that with enough money I could make the changes I thought were needed, but money only buys things. Then I learned the power of influence and leadership. While this inspires people and brings support and recognition to a cause, it also creates followers. I have only recently started to understand a different approach to change more deeply. Love. Whether it be your family, children, friends, significant other, or even your pets, love has the power to grow and change us all. I have watched adopted pets grow from withdrawn, scared animals into loving companions that comfort us and celebrate our presence. I have watched my children grow through hard times and know that they are capable of achieving their dreams. I have seen my significant other who has experienced personality hardening, life-changing trauma soften and find comfort in me when she finally found a safe place in the love I provide. So if you want to change the world, choose someone to love. And I say choose because the deep love that I speak of is a choice. Sometimes love is difficult. Sometimes love is scary. But if you choose to endure through the tough times, the deep, enduring love that exists will change the world. And if you don’t know who to invest this much love into, start with loving yourself. ❤️
