Stars of Sacrifice
Carla Jackson, founder of the esteemed Red Letter Awards ceremony, announces the expansion of her charitable initiative to include Stars of Sacrifice, a nationwide program dedicated to honoring veterans residing in nursing centers.
Originating in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Stars of Sacrifice has quickly gained momentum, expanding its reach to encompass every state and nursing facility across the country. Grounded in the biblical principle of compassion and service towards others, the program underscores the importance of visiting and honoring veterans who may be experiencing loneliness or isolation.
"Stars of Sacrifice advocates for investing time and fostering personal connections with our veterans," says Carla Jackson. "We prioritize companionship and support over material resources, recognizing the immense value of human connection in providing comfort and solace to those who have served our nation."
Aligned with God's vision, Stars of Sacrifice aims to fill nursing care facilities with gospel music and positivity, envisioning every window and curtain open to allow God's glory to dispel depression and illness, infusing joy into every dark corner.
In addition to encouraging frequent one-on-one visits with veterans, Stars of Sacrifice also organizes ceremonial events to collectively honor them. The program seeks to inspire individuals and communities to participate and establish similar initiatives in their local areas, fostering a culture of compassion and service towards those who have selflessly served our country.
The Stars of Sacrifice ceremony will take place on May 4th, Saturday, at 2 p.m. at the Nursing Care Center in Murfreesboro, honoring WWII veterans.
The next Red Letter Awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the illustrious Capitol Theatre in Lebanon, Tennessee where they will celebrate Gulf War Veterans.
