The game starts at 12 noon Pacific time with our special pregame show at 11:00am exclusively on SBG Radio! It is also the final C.O.S. Sports broadcast on Spreaker before College of the Siskiyous Athletics officially moves with us to Mixlr on Januray 8th! Be there!

To kick off the new era of SBG Radio on Mixlr, we will be conducting test programming starting with the 10th Annual Superman Superfest. Today we will bring you the first 12 hours of the program and finish the program tomorrow. Stay tuned for all of the excitement that is Superman!

It is NOW OFFICIAL!!! The Best of One Nostalgic Weekend, a program produced by WON Radio Network, is coming to SBG Radio on Mixlr! The fun begins with a special New Year's Day Marathon with all classic episodes spanning eight years (2016-2024). Time is to be announced.

Regular airings of The Best of One Nostalgic Weekend will take place every Saturday at 9:00pm Pacific (12 Midnight Eastern) exclusively on SBG Radio on Mixlr!

PROGRAMMING NOTE: Today's edition of The Mike Summers Radio Show has been preempted until later this evening due to College of the Siskiyous Athletics Women's Basketball.

Today, the Lady Eagles travel to Marysville to take on the Yuba College Lady Niners. Mike Summers will call the action from the SBG Radio studios in Mount Shasta. Coverage begins at 5:00pm Pacific time with the pre-game show starting at 4:00pm.

The Mike Summers Radio Show will follow at approximately 8:00pm Pacific time. Be sure and stay tuned and check back for further details.

BREAKING NEWS...

It is with deep thought that we must make this announcement…

I received this email with regards to our relationship with Spreaker.

I pay $50 a month to do live podcast-style broadcasts as had been done with the previous AVE Radio Network/Action VR Network. And I have done my dead-level best to bring you the finest program on internet radio. Spreaker had become the gold standard for great internet radio podcast-style programming broadcast LIVE!

However, I received this email this week from Spreaker indicating that the live broadcast function on my Spreaker Studio is officially being “retired” meaning there will be NO new live broadcasts following the end of the year. This is extremely disheartening given how easy it is to do great programs for all of you, especially with the recent addition of the Siskiyous Eagles Sports Network covering College of the Siskiyous athletics. We are disappointed that Spreaker has decided to make this decision in taking away LIVE broadcasts. They did say we can still record programs and post just like a podcast. But to me, that’s not enough.

So effective before the end of the year, SBG Radio (flagship service of Siskiyou Broadcast Group) will temporarily move to Mixlr, which is a cheaper, yet more available means of broadcasting LIVE events will no issues. Mixlr does not have the kinda of capabilities as Spreaker, but has always been a “go-to” when needed. Our target is before Thanksgiving as we prepare for a possible new Superman Superfest from the WON Radio Network.

While this is a temporary fix and a temporary plan, I will look for a new platform that does LIVE on-air broadcasts as well as podcasts at a cheaper prices. It’s a long shot, but it needs to be done for YOU, the listeners.

We thank you all for your support during this unfortunate bit of news from Spreaker, but look forward to working with Mixlr once again.

ICYMI, Mount Shasta's own Camryn Brooks blow everyone away last night on NBC's The Voice! She got a four-chair turn in her second try to get on the show! Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire and Michael Buble were so excited... but Gwen was even MORE excited! We will now be following Camryn's journey on The Voice in the coming weeks and hope to welcome her to SBG Radio in a future edition of "SBG Radio Welcomes..." (formerly "Action VR Welcomes...")
