Tuesdays are for cotton candy pastel color palettes as captured by in this gorgeous shot of the new pier. An amateur photographer, Kogan entered it into the 2023 Images of Charleston Photo Contest presented by . In his submission, he described the pier’s historical significance this way:

“The Folly pier has always been an iconic landmark for not only Folly Beach, but Charleston through and through. The new pier takes on a new look and shape but carries the representation of old.”

For , we’re taking it back to ’s amateur entry for ’s 2023 Images of Charleston photo contest. She had this to say about the shot she captured:

“This photo was taken at the shrimp docks on Shem Creek in September of 2019. Fall sunsets over Shem Creek are particularly inspiring with their golden colors and hues of orange and purple. I often ride my bike down to the docks to buy fresh shrimp. You can’t get more Charleston than that.”
