Berry announced that Dr. Sandeep Mazumder has been elected by the Board of Trustees as
the college’s next president.

Dr. Sandeep Mazumder, an economist educated at Cambridge and Johns Hopkins universities, has been unanimously elected as the 9th president of Berry College by the Board of Trustees.

“Dr. Mazumder is a visionary of high integrity and humility who will champion 21st-century growth and innovation while honoring Berry’s legacy, traditions and deep commitment to the community," said John Coleman, chair of the Berry College search committee and alum.

Victoria Severiche is a senior English and Communication double major from Norcross, Georgia. Her post-grad plans may or may not include law school, a master’s in library sciences, or running away to LA—it’s up in the air, really. Her hobbies include drawing, writing, journaling, and carefully curating her outfits. When not at Fusion, she’s the Vice President of the English Honor Society, SGA Rep for Mock Trial, and a proud member of the Easy Baked Improv troupe.

Holly is a senior Communication major with a Public Relations concentration from Augusta, Georgia. She enjoys watching movies, reading, trying new coffee shops, and hanging out with friends. Over the summer, she did a study abroad with the Communication department in Vienna, Austria (she had the best time). A fun fact about Holly is that she used to work at Disney World. She is so excited for this year at Fusion!

She loves reading fantasy books, watching films (mostly romcoms) and tv shows. She is often found in Laughlin inconveniencing Dr. Hersey or talking someone’s ear off about her favorite director, Mike Flanagan.

She is from Peachtree City, GA., and is on the cross country and track & field teams at Berry. In addition to Viking Fusion, she also works for the Berry events & hospitality office, and does healthcare communication research with Dr. Nazione in the Green business school. She loves coffee, traveling, her dog Gibbs, sunsets, and of course running!
